South East Beach Café — Restaurant in England

Went to this cafe today and, from the outset, I should have listened to my instinct and gone somewhere else. The man behind the counter couldn't have been more unfriendly or unwelcoming and, to top it all, his shorts looked like they needed a jolly good wash. However, we ploughed on with an order despite no eye contact or pleasantries and went outside to find a table for our party of 4. All the tables were rather grubby and needed clearing and a wipe. We wiped the table ourselves with napkins whilst one of our party chose not to use the glass he was given for his drink as there was a lipstick mark on it. The tray the rest of the drinks came out on was utterly disgusting - grubby, greasy, sticky and sandy. It looked like it had never been wiped in its life. Another miserable looking member of staff brought our food out which wasn't too bad although the cheese was tasteless and the ketchup bottle wasn't very clean. All in all a rather unpleasant experience - we won't be back! If only there'd been a smile, a bit of banter and a little time taken to ensure everything was clean we'd be writing a different review but this is what happened today. Shame really, as it costs nothing to be pleasant to...

Went here for breakfast today and was very disappointed. Was told the hob was broken, so could only have a sausage or bacon bap. Choose one of each with a tea and coffee. The baps were ready before the drinks, and appeared to be microwaved, in dry buns. Paid over £17 for this order, and won’t be going back there. No music playing in the background, and very lacking in atmosphere. Had previously visited and was lovely, so not sure what has happened recently. Should have checked reviews before going as seems like others have had...

The views are exceptional! Perfect place to sit enjoy a drink or a bite to eat.

However the tea is a bit iffy unsure if it's the water or the choice of tea bags. Tastes almost like dishwater unfortunately.

Opted for the full English hash browns are stunning! Crispy and nice, sausages are very nice.

Prices are astronomical once you start adding food on the orders. I am.happy to pay the price just for the views.

2 slices of.cake & 2 hot chocs £16 I ain't eating in selfridges. Overpriced I think
