The Salix Beach Cafe — Restaurant in England

I come to the island every year and have done so for the last 4 years, but this is my first visit to the Salix and wow it’s not my last! I have to say this amazing gem gets my vote as the best place to eat on the island (nope not a rosette in sight either thank god lol) not only because of it’s stupendous location but the quality of food is fantastic, and served with lots of love…. The service from the women who clearly love working at this place beats any service I’ve received whilst being a tourist here over the years… well done ladies your pride in your work is clear to see and lovely to experience! Your chef is a diamond! Your range of food and catering for fussy eaters or dietary issues is astonishing and more places should follow your ways! Perfect location to gaze out at the beautiful ocean. Lots of outdoor seating and tables inside. Everywhere was clean, including toilets. Polite and pleasant staff who were very busy and very organised, looks extremely well managed. Wide range of menu options, which were well presented and tasty when bought to the table. Range of shelves and a dresser, these were loaded with condiments and items to sell from other IOW businesses, ( clean, no dust) which is something they do here, support each other, which is great to see. Only one small drawback, this limits space when busy, with queue to order or pay. Someone directed us to this place and we are so glad to have been as it will definitely be a regular...

Had a great experience today at the Salix cafe being served by Mark. Very chatty and polite , warmed up my meal I bought from home (I have dietary needs) as well as provided me extra sauce and seasonings for the food we ordered from him. Very relaxing environment in the lovely weather and beachfront view , really made me smile with his level of service and kindness. Also the cafe is very clean and well put together , modern decor , great seating arrangement, efficient queing/ordering system didn’t have to wait long for the meal at all. Overall...
