We absolutely adore dining at our favorite restaurant! This hidden gem has consistently won our hearts with its delectable food, warm and welcoming staff, and its exceptional understanding and respect for our family.

From the moment we step through the door, we are greeted by the most pleasant and attentive staff. Their genuine kindness and patience, especially towards our son, make every visit feel like a special occasion. They go out of their way to ensure that he feels comfortable and relaxed, and their understanding of his needs is truly heartwarming.

But it's not just the outstanding service that keeps us coming back. The food is an absolute delight for the senses. From the first bite to the last, every dish is a culinary masterpiece. The diverse menu caters to all tastes, and the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chefs shine through in every dish.

One of our favorite features of this restaurant is their musical bingo nights. It's a fantastic way to enjoy a night out with friends and family. The music selection is top-notch, and the bingo adds a fun, interactive element to the evening. It's an event we look forward to attending regularly, and it's always a blast.

In summary, our beloved restaurant offers not just a delightful dining experience but also a sense of belonging and acceptance for our family. The combination of exceptional food, respectful staff, and entertaining events like musical bingo nights make it a place that we cherish and will continue to visit. We wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a memorable...

This was my first visit to this restaurant, I had heard some negative things about it but thought I would try it for myself. I was really impressed, we received a warm welcome from the member of staff at the door then shown to our table. Where the menu was explained. We opted to have the carvery, there was a choice of gammon or turkey on three different plate sizes. There were 4 vegetable choices with mashed potatoes and roasted potatoes. We opted for the large plate. The meat portion was very generous and the vegetables were delicious. The coffee was very good. As was the service. What really impressed me, was that they recognise the Blue Light Card, which gave us a discount on our food, this will keep us coming back. The loo’s are clean and well maintained. The car parking is free for 4 hours, but you must register your number plate when you enter the restaurant. All in all a very nice experience.

Edit 3-9-24 we visited again, at 12 o’clock, this being our 4th visit (the 3 previous ones had been fantastic). Sadly we were not pleased. We had the carvery, there was only 2 meats to choose from, beef and gammon. The beef was inedible, impossible to cut and the gammon was mostly fat. To make matters worse the vegetables and gravy were not hot. When we complained to the server all he said was “I’ll mention it to the chef”. It was clear from his attitude that he wasn’t interested. We will go again to see if today was a glitch, because usually the food is excellent. However we may not have...

I visited The Spindle and Thread Pub in High Wycombe today for their Sunday carvery, and I have to say it was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish.

First and foremost, the customer service was shockingly poor. The staff showed little to no care for guests, and the chef serving at the carvery set the tone for just how careless the experience would be. He was wearing nothing more than a standard baseball cap while handling food, which already raises major concerns about hygiene.

What made things worse was when every single slice of meat for my plate was dropped onto the countertop, and instead of discarding it or replacing it, he simply scooped it up and placed it straight onto my plate. That level of disregard for basic cleanliness is completely unacceptable. On top of this, I paid £17.50 for a carvery, and the meat portion I was given wouldn’t have even measured 50g. The portion was tiny, and combined with the poor service, it felt like a complete waste of money.

Even though there was no one waiting behind me, he rushed through serving as though I was an inconvenience. There was no politeness, no friendliness, no effort to provide any sense of customer service, just a rushed, careless attitude.

Overall, the entire experience left me extremely disappointed. If you value good service, respectful staff, and even the most basic standards of hygiene, this is not the place to go. I would never recommend it, and I certainly won’t...

I was visiting High Wycombe for a funeral yesterday and visited this establishment for lunch. We had the carvery. What can I say, it was the worst carvery I have every had the misfortune to eat. The Turkey was finished but probably a good thing as I overheard another customer saying how dry it was. We had the pork and beef. The meat servings were meagre, the pork was incredibly salty and the tiny amount of beef raggedy. The Yorkshire pudding was leathery and chewy, roast potatoes were ok, but not crispy as they should be. The veg was over- cooked and soggy and when I asked for pigs in blankets, I was shocked to hear they charge extra for those, Wtaf! Fortunately I don’t live in the area so will never have reason to visit this pub again. I would not recommend.

Food was awful. Prawns looked glassy, and ate like heavily set jelly. Pate was slopped on the plate, with an appearance akin to excrement. Carvery meat was edible. Yorkshire puddings were lovely! Vegetables were all dried up. They looked like they had been under the hot lamps for hours! Roast potatoes looked and tasted like overcooked jacket potatoes. *You need at least a small amout of fat to roast potatoes. Christmas pudding was palatable, but the "belgian chocolate" tart was extremely bitter and claggy, and you could feel the cocoa in your mouth. One of our party complained to the manager, who was great and took the cost of desserts off of our bill, but the food was diabolical. The 2 stars were for service front of house.

My Girlfriend & I Spotted this Carvery the other day & agreed we would visit the place. We Ordered the 3 Small Sharing Plates & a Drink each which were very nice but, when it came to the "Carvery Meal", I would only Deem this to be only suitable for a Dogs Dinner. I know it was gone 7.00pm where the Food was just left there all day but, it was pretty much Awful. We did however, get Offered a Free "Rocky Road Sundae" which was nice. The Drinks were a Tad Pricey. £4.20 for a Pint of "Bombardier" Ale & & £3.10 for a Pepsi Max which was not even a Pint. Very Disappointing!! Definitely won't be a 2nd Visit there.
