The food was up to the normal quality of Wagamamas, arriving at a reasonable time, well made and tasty. The service and other choices by this location are extremely frustrating.
Our waitress was extremely quiet where we could barely understand what she was saying - even though we were location at a quiet part of the restaurant. She did not seem to know what was going on, and although friendly was not familiar with the menu.
Having informed her that one diner had a nut allergy, she came to take our order. After informing us that she'd have to check with the manager to confirm about the allergy, we tried to inform her of the other orders. As she spoke extremely softly, we weren't sure if she even took the orders or she was more preoccupied with asking the manager about the nut allergy.
A further strange thing was that the menu did not mention the complimentary green tea, and nor was this offered during ordering (unlike all of the other Wagamamas I've been to).
When the food arrived we were missing utensils. Unable to catch the attention of any wait staff I had to find and pick some up myself. Since that point no wait staff ever imitated contact to ask how we found the food (unlike every other Wagamamas I've been to).
When we finally managed to flag someone to pay, we had to explain multiple times that we would prefer to pay seperately by card rather than using their onlime service. Splitting the bill was of great difficulty, a common issue as some neighbouring diners also expressed frustration over their failure to split the bill.
Overall this experience has left me baffled at how this location is run - although the food was up to standard I simply do not understand the extremely poor service when dining at off peak hours and a reasonable...
Read moreThe restaurant has been unclean when I have visited last few times. The staff have been chatting away and not taken the order on time, Even thou it was not busy. The staff seem to have an attitude If you ask questions regarding the food and don’t want to help! I was asked to leave if I asked questions as they considered this rude. If your willing to sit in the restaurant with unclean surfaces and not ask any questions regarding the food that your be paying for then they will serve you with a smile. The toilets were so bad I spoke to member of staff as someone was used floor rather then the cubicle, I was told they knew who this was and said someone will clean this. Not sure if it was a customer or member of staff as they seemed to know the toilets were a mess and an idea of them using the floor, Absolutely disgusting and unhygienic. Spoke to mags the new manager about the service who seemed to do nothing and wasn’t bothered. I have visited the branch with friends who have had similar experiences and going by the recent posts there’s been issues with either, unclean restaurant, the food or the service. It’s become a pattern and the posts reflect these issues. I wouldn’t even give this 1 star if I could. The restaurant needs a good clean and some staff training to get the basic...
Read moreThis is my second visit to this restaurant and not familiar with the dishes or the names. The dishes are tasty and not expensive. The staff were courteous although I would like to add a few suggestions. The dishes did not come in order with the starters following the main course. The main courses also did not come together to be served to our group . Its hard to remember the names of the dishes we had ordered, so when the waiter came neither he nor I remembered the name of the dish resulting in me having the incorrect one. We then had the chicken dish served to a vegan in our group which was surprising and also a bit irritating as the staff clearly did not have a clue of what they are serving to whom. I think the confusion could be avoided by getting all the dishes together so that we all can enjoy food at the same time. The staff were kind and courteous overall . I would visit wagamama again but next time would be careful to keep the menu card until I have my meal i had ordered and not to get...
