I visited Zizzi on Tuesday noon ish time. There were about six tables taken downstairs and no one upstairs. The man who was suppossed to be welcoming the guests at the entrance came after few minutes. I visited Zizzi with my 2 year old baby so it took us a while to open the door, go through and keep my baby by my side that's how I realised that it's so weird the waiter is not there yet to welcome us with a menu. That man overall looked so uninterested and not happy that we came, then he left the restaurant, I guess he finished work for that day but could have nod and said goodbye when I smiled at him. So then the woman waitress was serving us. She was slightly better but again, the customer can sense if the smile is not genuine. She chose herself one customer and was talking to him for good few minutes instead of checking from time to time if someone needs her assistance. For instance, I was eating with a two year old so I can't leave the table and keep coming asking something. I had to watch my baby and tge waitress when she finishes the chat with a customer so I can order something. I basically asked for the bill and will never come back to Zizzi in High Wycombe. I say HW because of staff, the food itself wasn't bad, reading worst reviews, my food was all hot and tasty. Not like superb yummy but was ok, I'm happy. Nice outlook of the restaurant but hospitality places are to be hospitable, although you eat there, you pay for the service as well,sk staff didn't meet my expectations.

Seen to the table promptly and told about the set offers etc, friendly and helpful staff. Very beautifully decorated inside and extremely clean and tidy. I tried to order through the app on my phone but for some reason it wasn't working for me , not a major issue as waiter took my order instead. I do however, like the option to be able to order through my phone. Got the set deal for a 3 course menu, thought it was good price for what you recieve, however, I wish that they would include my favourite pizza in the deal ( spicy sausage) but that's personal preference and you do get quite a few options to select from. I peronsally like the added feature of showing what's popular on the menu as it helps someone who is indecisive like me to decide. My pasta did come very dry but was easily rectified and the waitresss was very friendly and helpful in doing so. Starter was calamari and the portion size was good and the sauce to dip was delicious 10/10, dessert was nice I got the brownie, but it was on the slightly smaller side 8/10 and the pasta was nice ,however ,it wasn't quite the normal standard which is normally 10/10. Due to the lack of sauce and the pancetta not being as crispy as normal, I give it a 8/10. Drinks are slightly overpriced for what they are. Overall, I recommend this place.

I visited Zizzi in High Wycombe on Saturday 4 September 2021 in the early evening, a weekend during term time. I was with two other people. This was my first visit. I used Google Maps to find the restaurant, which was easy and led me straight to the right place. The restaurant comprises of one medium sized main dining area with plenty of tables with full table service. The food was lovely, the service was very bland. I enjoyed a Fonduta Formaggi for my starter and a Rustica Piccanti pizza for my main course. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted really good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food was very good value for money - I used Tesco Clubcard points so the bill was actually next to nothing.

HAVE GLUTEN AND DAIRY FREE MENUS

I have complex dietary requirements, including gluten and dairy intolerances, so I seldom eat out due to the limited choice on menus, and the risk of becoming ill if I'm given something I shouldn't eat. When I do go out, I'll go to independent restaurants that I know and trust, or I will usually stick with something plain and simple such as a chicken or fish with steamed veg or just a plain salad.

A friend and I happened to be in High Wycombe last night and we decided to eat out. I had not visited High Wycombe for 20+ years, so we were walking from restaurant to restaurant in the Eden Centre, looking at the menus, to see if there was anything I could eat, when I came across Zizzi, and noticed that there were a few items on the menu, including Gluten Free (GF) and vegan. I couldn't believe my eyes.

When we went inside, before I was seated, I asked about their food preparation and about the Gluten and Dairy Free (DF) options, mainly because chain restaurants tend to have most of their food pre-prepared. I felt confident as they had a GF menu and a DF menu, and the person who greeted me fully understood my needs.

The staff were absolutely amazing and the service was prompt. After discussing my options, my friend and I both ordered the Seabass cooked with lemon and herbs served with sauté potatoes and green beans. The waitress checked everything with the chef and explained that my food would be cooked separately. She told me the Seabass was usually coated in flour but they could cook mine without the flour.

When our meals arrived mine looked pretty similar to my friends, but they had stuck a GF sticker on my plate - I thought that was such a good idea, and it gave me assurance that the restaurant took great care not to mix our dinners up or cross contaminate. The food was flavoured well and cooked to perfection.

To my amazement there was a dessert on the menu that was GF and DF - And it was chocolate! I got really excited about this. For those of you that don't have any issues with food you're probably thinking I'm mad. Believe me I'm not, as nowhere where I've eaten seems to be able to offer a GF and DF dessert other than fruit salad, if I'm lucky raspberries or strawberries with meringue (can be a bit dry) or a sorbet.

Well the dessert - it was to die for. I had the GF and DF sticky chocolate & praline torte served with coconut & chocolate ripple gelato. I was in heaven.

A massive THANK YOU to the staff who cooked my food and served me. Nothing was too much trouble for you.

Oh, I forgot to say to the person who got me the lemon - it worked. For those who are wondering, I think I had been bitten by a mosquito earlier on in the day due to the unusual heatwave in the UK. I tend to have a reaction to mosquito bites and my leg was starting to swell around the bite.

I will definitely eat at a Zizzi again, especially for the...
