STAR FISH BAR — Restaurant in England

Terrible. Food was late and cold large cod was tiny and broke up. No sauce and salad you was meant to get with the fish. Rang restaurant to be told there is no sauce or salad this week when it is clearly advertised on all the food sites as comes with the fish to make people order then it don't come. I could've got the same food better and cheaper elsewhere but got it from there cos I thought salad and tartar sauce was included as it said so didn't mind paying abit extra. I use to order from here regularly but ladt time I got it it was rubbish so left it a while before ordering again then today I thought I'd try again. Never again they've lost all my family's custom as I recommended them to everyone but not no more totally gone down...

I ordered a cod and chips to takeaway online and it was the best fish and chips I’ve had near to home so far! The portion of the cod and chips was excellent, the only thing I would say is I didn’t get an option for salt and vinegar which I would have liked. This came with a “special sauce” and a salad… omg the sauce is incredible, it compliments the fish so well and tasted amazing. I ordered a curry sauce aswell, I love a good curry sauce and this one was good, it was chunky and warm… and the portion size was just right (maybe needed a little bit more) will...

Last Friday armed forces weekend we brought food for my two kids and pregnant partner, my kids fish was ok but the one me and my partner had gave us food poisoning remember she is 33weeks gone and the restaurant was rude and said no refund as we didn't bring food back for them to do checks on, no restaurant would ask you to bring food back when it's been eaten🤔 didn't even apologize at all or take any responsibility, do not eat here as trading standards is investigating...
