TURKISH GRILL WRAP N GO — Restaurant in England

I don't usually write reviews but I've been around Gillingham and tried various kebab places so I'd say I'm pretty qualified in giving an objective review.

I'll cut straight to the chase, when you put this place up against its main competitor which we all know is Master Kebab, I have to say it comes out on top - this is simply because of the love and care Chef Mehmut puts into his craft.

I had the Chicken Shish Wrap meal, the things that set it apart for me from the competition are: the wrap's bread is well made and can be a treat in itself the chicken filling is substantial and crucially for me, the chunks are bitesize and when you take the chicken it literally rips off on itself showing how well it's cooked the salad is flavourful and is designed well, it's not just a chunk of salad chopped up and added to the wrap with no flavour the chilli sauce is home made which again promotes his love and care for his product the firmness of the wrap is there even with all these ingredients which again is important as the last thing you want is a soggy wrap

The meal comes with a respectable side of chips. Now, I have no clue what Chef Mehmut does, but the chips are just on another level and complement the wrap perfectly. There's literally no oil left on them and they seem coated in some crunchy batter but they taste great.

Obviously my review is a really small part of the menu but I know that Chef Mehmut takes real pride in his work and seeing other reviews on here you can tell the quality is consistent throughout the menu.

On top of all this Chef Mehmut is a top guy, always friendly and sticks to his timings when we make our order.

A bold claim, but easily hands down the best wrap I've ever had. I now feel like all my money spent getting wraps from every chicken/kebab store in Kent was wasted in comparison. The owner works in store every time I've visited, and the service is unmatched by any other place I've visitied. They're always very friendly and personable and happy to accommodate any request you make. Anything you order is prepared, and cooked right in front of you over the charcoal grill and you can literally watch the years of experience go to work, not to mention the care to every order. I was ordering one evening and the store was packed with lots of large orders, but even still every item was perfectly prepared and delicately attended to. I usually had kebab wraps almost drowned in sauces because I thought that's how I liked them, but this store really shows that quality ingredients and attention to the cooking is what does the real talking. On my first visit I bought a mixed wrap, I'm around 6ft and when I say the wrap was the length from my elbow to nearly the end of my hand, I'm not joking. I'm not usually a big eater, either. But even being totally full, I kept finding myself going for 'one more bite'... Enough times to finish it. Since then I've got my partner, who had a halloumi wrap and adored it even more than a posh restaurant's offering and my parents food from here and they all share the same feelings as I do. I really can't reccomended this place enough, I have so many things to say, but if you've read this far, then just make an order and try it yourself! Meanwhile I will continue regretting all the money I wasted on wraps from any other...

I’m not one to usually post a review, but feel I have to make an exception for Turkish Grill. Since it opened, I’ve considered taking the plunge on many occasions, but have always gone to my go place on Watling Street. Last week I ordered a Turkish Grill Special 2 and today, was a Lamb Shish Wrap. Not only is the food flavoursome and expertly cooked, the staff are welcoming and pleasant. If you’re looking for a Doner Kebab, you’ll be disappointed. It’s not on offer. No big deal in my book, but the usual meats of lamb and chicken are available as a wrap in excellent Turkish bread and not a tortilla wrap offered in most other places, with a green, or, onion salad and spiced to your liking.
