Street Food Corner — Restaurant in England

Two negative experiences to share. Food ordered to takeaway, nice chips but disgusting nachos, toppings were so cheap and watery, I couldn't believe it cost over £8. On Wednesday 28th August, after 10pm, the owner was blasting music on an outside speaker and entertaining extremely loud guests who were screaming and shouting. This woke my small children so I went down and politely asked to turn it down. I was informed by the manager that she has a license until midnight which is untrue, the county Council has their license listed until 10pm and I went down at 10.30pm. Patrons had been served so much alcohol they were extremely drunk. I was verbally abused by patrons who witnessed my discussion with the manager, which was really frightening and upsetting. The manager did not apologise and told me that what had been said to me was nothing to do with her. She was also very drunk so it was hard to reason with her. The owner of our holiday apartment has now submitted two noise complaints to the council, and I was really shaken up by the whole experience which happened late at night. The decor reminded me of a bar/cafe in Turkey - slightly too loud music, overwhelming menus plastered everywhere. But it was fine.

I didn’t order the drinks and snacks, but I did wait slightly longer than expected for them. My wife stood waiting for my coffee while a member of staff walked past her with it - better communication needed.

The first major issue - as I finished my cappuccino, I noticed the clump of wet powder in the bottom of the mug - where the server hadn’t mixed in the sachet properly. £2.80 for a 30p instant coffee. Appalling.

The second - the churros. They were served not with sugar, not with cinnamon sugar, but with plain cinnamon. This came across as an amateur-run outfit where the food has never been tried by those responsible.

My final word? Go to any of the many huts for your food and drinks. You will always do better than...

Pretty horrific! As a table of 8 we were served our food pretty quickly, hardly surprising considering that the food appears to be all cheap frozen food that can be nuked in a fryer. Not particularly great at all however it served its purpose. Unfortunately our table was dirty and so was the help yourself cutlery, thankfully we had sanitising wipes with us so we were able to rectify this.

Most surprisingly was the extremely rude woman who served us at the counter, there was no essence of any customer service from her, she was sour faced, unwelcoming and rude. Perhaps we should have taken note from our poor experience with her and not ordered!
