DISGUSTED!! If the rating system would allow this would be minus5* Booked a table for 7pm on a Tuesday evening on the recommendation of friends. Travelled from Scarborough to Malton but arrived at 3 minutes past. Yes that is 7.03 for a 7pm booking to be told in no uncertain terms that the kitchen was closed and the chef had gone home. All other diners had arrived early so that was it. The place was not full by any means and the sign outside was still advertising food.

This is good much more than basic substantial food...
Read moreA classic old style pub, several separate areas giving various degrees of cosy. We were greated by the biggest friendly dog I have ever seen ! We did not eat on this occasion but thought it would not be fair to give no stars. There are lots of good reviews for the food on this website. The staff were very pleasant and they poured a perfect pint of Taylors landlord at a very reasonable £4.50. This place has charm in abundance, a welcome change from all myriad of...
