I never leave reviews bad or good, but after my experience here last night I felt I needed too, I waited at the actual bar first in line and nobody would serve me at all. I was sober and all I wanted was a soft drink. I got the the bar at 1am and got a drink at 1:35am. I was stood there the entire time while the staff ignored me and served others around me. While I explained that I had been waiting the bar staff just shrugged it off and I was completely confused as to why? I would understand if I was highly intoxicated of being rowdy but I just stood there in silence and waited patiently just to be looked over again and again. The bar staff were rude and dismissive. Brunel chippenham has to be at the top of anyones list of pubs to visit if you're local or simply visiting! I have been here several times both throughout the week and on a weekend! Every experience here has been nothing less than superb. The staff go above and beyond to accommodate you no matter the time of visit whether its a quiet midweek drink or a weekend blowout they are always doing their best to make sure your visit is to the best of standards while running an extremely well functioning pub. Disgusting service, spent over £130 here on a group lunch which was booked in advance, mixed veg was just peas, ordered jacket pot with beans, hardly any beans, wilting lettuce with no cucumber, dirty glasses, greasy fish, wrong chicken burger brought out, had to ask for dips for onion ring stack which were brought out in a bowl, had to ask again for mango chutney and puddings well the profiteroles were frozen, the ice cream was a tiny 2 half scopes, no sticky toffee pudding despite managing to order it and we had to remind them twice about a fruit pot!
