AMAZING new cafe in the high street in Newquay. The pasties are phenomenal, the pastry specifically is so, so good and you get a choice on the steak pasties of shortcrust or flaky šŸ‘ŒšŸ» with sizes from pixie to XXL. The cake selection is very good, with tray bakes and ā€˜proper’ cakes. The Hummingbird Cake (spiced banana and pineapple) is particularly good. Coffee is also nice, plenty of seating, friendly staff. Couldn’t fault it!

Popped in as I really wanted a fresh scone with some clotted cream and jam, after 14 years without refined sugar. First time discovering the Cornish oven (I moved to Newquay 2 weeks ago). This scone was BIG and rocked my world! Thank you to the 3 lovely ladies who chatted with me and packed up the scone. Such lovely energies. Now, the UK’s biggest debate: Cream or jam first? 🤣 Thank you!

Walking down the main pedestrian thoroughfare we were pulled into this cafe by the wafting aroma of freshly baked Cornish Pasties. The staff were lovely and helped us choose which items to enjoy. The food was piping hot and very good. The interiors were pleasant and simple. And we didn’t need a bank loan for a very satisfying snack. A highly recommended experience.

It was really busy when we went in, but it was definitely worth the short wait. There is an eat-in or takeaway option as it's a cafe with a nice seating area and the staff were working together like a well-oiled machine to take and pack orders, etc! We opted to take away as our daughter has special needs, and the smell of the food was too much for her, and our food was nicely bagged up separately with napkins and a fork for my partners dessert. The lady who was taking the orders was lovely and chatty and couldn't do enough. This was really appreciated! Thanks 😊 The food was absolutely delicious! A hot steak pasty straight from the oven with plenty of steak, too, and my partner enjoyed his large slice of salted caramel and butterscotch cake! Would definitely...

Fancied a cornish pasty, I popped in with my wife, I had previously purchased a Costa coffee. The lady asked me what the coffee was so I told her. She challeged costa, stating her coffees were better, she very kindly gave me a free coffee to test her claim. I am very pleased to say the coffees from the Cornish Oven are far superior, very tasty and had a more authentic flavour. After trying other pasty shops in town, this shop offers by far the most succulent tasty pasties around, no bite was disappointing and they clearly haven't scrimped on the steak! We will definitely...

I was disappointed with the service provided by the elderly woman who served us our coffee. She was rude when she told us that we were not allowed to eat the pastries we had purchased from another bakery at the table. I believe that she could benefit from customer service training and should have communicated with us more politely. I fail to understand the reasoning behind not allowing us to consume our own pastries while we were also ordering coffee from their establishment. Due to this experience, I cannot recommend this place because of the...
