It was really busy when we went in, but it was definitely worth the short wait. There is an eat-in or takeaway option as it's a cafe with a nice seating area and the staff were working together like a well-oiled machine to take and pack orders, etc! We opted to take away as our daughter has special needs, and the smell of the food was too much for her, and our food was nicely bagged up separately with napkins and a fork for my partners dessert. Fancied a cornish pasty, I popped in with my wife, I had previously purchased a Costa coffee. The lady asked me what the coffee was so I told her. She challeged costa, stating her coffees were better, she very kindly gave me a free coffee to test her claim. I am very pleased to say the coffees from the Cornish Oven are far superior, very tasty and had a more authentic flavour. After trying other pasty shops in town, this shop offers by far the most succulent tasty pasties around, no bite was disappointing and they clearly haven't scrimped on the steak! I was disappointed with the service provided by the elderly woman who served us our coffee. She was rude when she told us that we were not allowed to eat the pastries we had purchased from another bakery at the table. I believe that she could benefit from customer service training and should have communicated with us more politely. I fail to understand the reasoning behind not allowing us to consume our own pastries while we were also ordering coffee from their establishment.
