We popped out to newquay for a mooch around and so thing to eat and the wife suggested this place and as I went to school in newquay and also worked in catering for over 10 years in Cornwall thought it was a good idea, being in the centre of newquay I thought it should be good food but entering the seating area alarm bells stating ringing when the staff were too busy chatting rather than clearing the tables but we still sat down as we were very hungry and we both ordered a full English breakfast, we had to order at the till rather than a waitress service which was fine and we waited for our food, I don’t eat eggs donated to remove them and was told there was no substitutions…..oh well I thought I’m so hungry but was shocked when the wife spent £30 on two breakfasts, a tea and a coffee! Wow I thought I better be good and then the girl delivered our breakfasts and oh my! A tea spoon portion of beans, undercooked hash browns and sausages that had literally no meat content! They don’t do mushrooms, tomatoes, hogs pudding with their breakfasts just bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns and beans so not really a full English by any means! To make things worse there were no decent condiments and the ketchup was worse than what you’d expect from a cheap burger bar at a fairground or village fete! My advice is don’t bother waisting your money on this very cheap and nasty restaurant in the town centre of newquay and buy a pasty from the Cornish...

We attended the bakery today and sat in the cafe upstairs. When we arrived we sat on a two seater table, just above the stairs. After I ordered my food, we moved to a table at the window. My friend then went to order her food and to let them know we had changed tables. Before she came back my drink arrived at the other table and I waved the young girl down. When she came to the table, she rudely said you need to let us know if you move tables. I said I’m sorry, we moved for a better view, my friend has just gone to tell the staff at the counter. Before I finished my sentence she interrupted me and then rudely said again, you need to let us know if you move tables and walked off. Then another staff member came over and said you can’t move tables once you have ordered food. I said sorry we didn’t realise it was such an issue and that we had gone to tell the staff at the counter we had move. Then that member of staff went to clear someone’s table as my food came out. The lady with the food went to our old table and the lady clearing the table went, they have moved over their in a rude tone. Then she mentioned to the table she was clearing about us moving tables and that they were not as issue like we were. Extremely disappointed with the poor costumer service, we were spoken down to and spoken about to other customers. It was highly...

Stopped by here yesterday to grab a quick bite to eat whilst passing through Newquay. As soon as I entered the shop I was immediately asked "Can I help you?" I appreciate the gesture but I literally walked through the door atleast give me like maybe 10 seconds to browse the menu / prices / food on display. Anyway the shop was just about to close and there was vert little left to chose from. I asked for a chicken and leek pasty. The pasty was very small compared to the others. It was maybe half the size of a large traditional. I was given the pasty and decided to pay contactless. The server didn't tell me the price of the pasty or show me the price on the card reader. I just assumed with it being so small it would be maybe £3-4 which may be reasonable for a fresh one. However this was a last one as the shutters were literally being lowered. Anyway I checked my bank app out of curiosity and was shocked to have been charged £8.40 for this small luke warm excuse of a pasty.

I will not...

Had a previous experience that put us off using them for a while. This I did relay to the team... However, today has reaffirmed my faith in nile's newquay! Had a bacon sandwich, i asked for crispy bacon. Only had white bread unfortunately... But when it arrived the granary bread had arrived, bacon well done it was delicious 😋 i also had a tea which I couldn't finish The staff gave me a takeaway cup, very helpful and polite. We've been using them for years, and will continue to do so The cafe is above the shop so not viable if any mobility challenges Always clean and tidy, toilets are downstairs from the cafe, again more stairs. But always clean

Across the way from a large chain barista this tea room seems okay. The style of the rooms is dated, to me this adds nostalgia. Access is limited as no lift. Toilets are functional, with a baby change station outside the men's toilet. Cream tea was good as was the coffee. Price quite reasonable. Dog friendly (for well behaved dogs apparently). Would recommend as a pit stop.

I love this bakery. Always a stop off for us, does a great economy breakfast which is the perfect size for me & fantastic price & I always indulge in either their melt in the mouth giant ring doughnut or a Chelsea bun which aren't available in most bakerys these days. Does get very busy in peak season & you do need to go upstairs to sit in.
