1st time visiting for food, ordered Katsu Chicken Loaded Fries (£9), which, taste wise, was very nice. It was presented on a smaller plate than anticipated (7" roughly) and as you can see by the photo, very little Katsu sauce, maybe a tablespoon at best. When this was bar seven you used to be greeted by bad beer and a smell of stale urine from the toilets. Things really have changed. After visiting this pub the male manager was appalling to his staff member, I personally don't think there is any need to chastise your bar staff in front of members of the public if they do something wrong, it's unprofessional, downgrading, at least have the decency to to take them to one side and have a word, I felt sorry for the female member as she was polite and courteous to us as we walked in, please treat your staff...
