I have been here twice so not a regular but wouldn't visit again.
The first visit we just had cake and hot chocolate, the hot chocolates took a while to come but other than that it wasn;t bad.
The second visit at the weekend was pretty bad. After 50 minutes of waiting for the food we checked on how long it would be and it was still not being cooked. Totally understand there are busy periods but that was way too long to be left sat there with no communication. We were just left wondering and watched other peoples food come out before ours, some ordered after us.
The food wasn't great (vegan breakfast looked tired and came with standard butter, the toastie had really bad quality pesto which ruined it), worst of all, the wait was uncomfortable. There was a table near the door and their dogs barked at everyone coming in. I had a dog with me so appreciate a dog friendly space, but, these dogs were not friendly. It was loud with a lot of clattering about, so we struggled to sit and chat during the wait.
For the price and the waiting times (which if we had been warned about when ordering we would have not ordered). It's not worth returning...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen here quite a few times since having my baby - exploring the area on maternity leave and this has been a gem. Great baby changing facilities, lovely staff who are really friendly and welcoming and enough space for a buggy.
Recommend the vegan hash (Iām not vegan but love it) as well as the toasties and full english. The soup specials are also great! Everything reasonably priced too.
Thanks for being a great space for a new mum and a safe space...
