Our ”usual” cafe in Helmsley was closed on Mondays so looking for somewhere else we came across this wee place. So glad we did. The food was amazing!!!! Had to be the best cooked brekkie I’ve ever had (we have one meat and one veggie and both were brilliant. Well cooked and loads of food. Almost too much food to manage a cake after, but managed to force down a slice of Victoria sponge (such dedication 😂) which was equally delicious. Had a good choice of food and drinks and nice atmosphere too. And if you’re eating here, get something that involves it being served with butter. I have never seen the way they do it in any cafe or restaurant in my life. And I’ve lived a lot of years and been in a LOT of cafes. Such a lovely wee touch but I won’t say what as it might spoil your surprise (although there is a big clue in this review somewhere 😉). Well done to whoever came up with the idea though - simple but really effective and small touches like that make the difference when surrounded by loads of competitors ⭐️ *UPDATE* Second trip today for brekkie and equally as good. If not better!!!! And super dog friendly which I don’t think I mentioned last time. OK, more updates. This place gets better every time we go. How come more places can’t do the wee details these guys do. 10/10 peeps. And look how they serve mint tea. With a sprig of mint 🤩. And our wee pooch loves it too as she gets treats 😍 Go there - you won’t regret it 🤩

What a cracking cafe! The new owners have only been in place for less than a year and their friendly and customer-centric approach is extremely refreshing. Not only do they take time to chat, their service is amazing, and the home made cakes amazing! Even their tea is fresh leaves, rather than a bag! The appear to open longer hours than a lot of their local competitors, and are also prepared to stay open later than advertised, rather than kicking customers out. Modern, clean interior, just adds to an overall exceptional experience. This will definitely be my go-to place when I next return.

We recently visited Helmsley and had breakfast at the Feather Trail Cafe. The staff were very professional and friendly. We were blown away by the level of quality produce used in our breakfast. I can’t recommend the breakfast enough. It was stunning. Their cappuccino again was made so delicately and tasted amazing. The overall food and drink cost was low for the level of service and quality. We will be back for sure.

We arrived today in happy jolly mood sat down at a dirty table asked to clean owner was nasty and condescending we asked about lunch horrible owner was in a foul mood and proceeded to say if you read the menu properly you would know. At this point everyone was upset when complaining about it she said get out and go back to where you came from.

This lady clearly likes locals only and was very upsetting the place was empty clearly she upsets people as everywhere else was busy

I would also like to thank the waitress as she was lovely and friendly the owner was rude arrogant nasty and made the waitress visibly uncomfortable

***DO NOT USE THIS PLACE ITS ALSO MORE EXPENSIVE THAN LOCAL PUB FOOD AS...

We called in on a beautiful sunny day and it was lovely and cool inside. I was looking for a nice healthy salad and I wasn't disappointed. I had the ham salad and it was one of the best. It had lots of tastes and textures and I really wish I lived nearer. My daughter had a BLT which she said was really nice with lots of filling and thick soft bread and my granddaughter had a Rocky Road cake which she finished off at home. Granddaughter and I shared an apple and blackberry tea that was delicious and ended up buying some. Really hope I'm passing through Helmsley again because I definitely want to eat...
