His tenants, friends and relatives raised the money to have this memorial erected in Helmsley's busy market square. It's obviously a popular place for people to sit or meet up with friends. I was here on a Friday afternoon when the weekly market was taking place. Some nice fruit and veg, cheese, cashmere jumpers, women's clothing and gifts. There's also a lot of car parking around the square.
