Our experience with The Garden Cafe has become somewhat reminiscent of habit; we love their burger and they represent great value for money. We found the majority of visits to be excellent, with our most recent couple being a little underwhelming. Their vegan 'sausage' rolls are £3.90 each? They are not a large item and actually didn't resemble sausage meat in anyway - more of nut roast vibe. Coffee appeared to be organic, which is crucial; however, the use of a burr chamber grinder means you have no idea how fresh that ground coffee actually is. Overall, definitely worth a visit and the staff are generally very friendly.

This was a lovely find. I felt that I was sitting in a secret garden surrounded by flowers and old flagstones and individual tables and chairs. In the background was the tinkling of a water feature made from an old tea urn. Seating areas are covered so it doesn't matter if it rains. The steps are steep not suitable for wheelchair users but there is an inside cafe at street level. The the food is really lovely, unique healthy salads if that's your choice. Great place to bring a friend for lunch.

Lovely beautiful vegetable, vegan, coffee and small bite shop. Smells lovely when you walk in excellent selection of breads, olives, grocery and dried goods.

First time we were today after a long time Lovely helpful staff as we were not 100% sure where to enter into the cafe. Handgel on hand track n trace system Lovely lady assistant on hand. Took us to our table l much have preferred to sit at another table compared to the one we were shown. Anyway we had coffee n cake each. Couldn't fault any of it. Pleasant waitress. Nice atmosphere. Everywhere was clean Noticed quite a few customers, in the cafe and in the extension conservatory type cafe We will be back. The shop selling variety of food n groceries etc. It was all clean n everywhere looked tidy n good to look at...

We came here late on in the day. Having just missed the next door shop closing. Whilst the initial reception seemed frosty the service was good and the food was lovely.

The meals are wholesome and where possible are from local, sustainable and organic sources.

The Pizza was delicious and the cashew nut burger was tasty. The Rosemary potatoes could have done with more rosemary on but that was just my own opinion and indeed, did not detract from the quality or quantity of food.

A lovely place, we enjoyed it enough that we returned the following day to try the quiche and enchilada. Equally delicious.

A lovely...

As an experienced traveller I have visited many restaurants and cafes across the country, but never have I found such a wonderful cafe as The Garden Cafe. Nestled into the small town of Frome it oozes charm and character with its network of rooms spilling off of the Main Street and you will be greeted by the friendly staff in an inviting atmosphere. The food is nothing short of fantastic, with a small but ever changing daily menu, locally sourced organic ingredients and a wide range of vegetarian and vegan produce. Both me and my partner have enjoyed several visits and have never been disappointed, 11/10 would...
