Love this place but unfortunately got let down.. the sever was prefect.. friendly, smiling and attentive.
Shame about the tea..
I asked for sencha (loose leaf) tea form Japan
Got given Mao Feng (completely different type of green tea) form China. I know it not massive thing but would have been nice to been told thisâŠ
Luckily I like Moa Feng.. but didnât come loose it was it was tea bag.. wasnât told about that at all..
Miss-leading customer about it been loose, Sencha and where the tea is located and pickedâŠ
Manager came and spoke to me as I was mislead about the product before receiving the product.. but did even seem like she care about misleading people and said something along the lines off oh yeah, sorry we changing over products form loose to bagged⊠well if I was told that I would have had coffee instead.. as I love loose tea and thatâs what I came in for.
And you do still get charged loose leaf price.. ÂŁ3 Where the tea bags ok menu states ÂŁ2.70
So I there for paid more than I should have, really
Great young lady serving me, but the tea and manager let it down
Shame as I do love this place.. donât think I will be...
Read morePassing through Pocklington today & stopped for lunch. Came here as right in centre where there is some parking & glad we chose it... nearly didn't stay as when 1st entered it was full except for 1 table upstairs but needed a chair so staff got us a chair from downstairs & carried it up so we could be seated at table. Upstairs is actually larger seating area than downstairs (& the tables outside were still in use due to the mild weather!). The menu wasn't extensive but had some nice choices. I had the belly pork sandwich which wasn't over fatty & was in Focaccia bread & was delicious. My wife had chicken & mozzarella toasted sandwich that she said was also delicious. The cakes looked great but as we're eating out early tonight can't sample them today, but would definitely visit another time in the area...
Read moreWe were in the area and were looking for something to eat. We called into The Hide which I had seen had great reviews. Unfortunately, we couldn't sit in as there were no tables free so decided to have a takeaway lunch instead. The lady serving was miserable and didn't make us feel welcome. We felt as if we were a burden to her. We really wish we had gone elsewhere as the food was average and overpriced. To top it off we were told in a rude manner to wait outside in the pouring rain with our baby who was a few months old. Luckily, our car was just outside. I could see the place was fairly busy and not huge inside. So I can understand why we would have to wait outside due to lack of space but we didn't expect to get treated so badly by the unfriendly lady serving us. I do not recommend The...
