You know, as an Uber cyclist, I've seen my fair share of restaurants, but this one... this one really stands out. From the moment you step through the front door, you're greeted with an atmosphere that's unlike any other. It's a unique blend of calm and friendly that instantly makes you feel welcome, as if you're stepping into a haven away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. It's a breath of fresh air, really. Oh, and the smell! The aroma that wafts out from the kitchen is something to behold. It's a delightful sensory experience that fills your nostrils with the tantalizing scents of what's cooking, making you anticipate the delicious meal to come. Now, as an Uber cyclist, there's a special place in my heart for restaurants that really value the quality of their food, even when it's being taken away. And let me tell you, The Lads really go above and beyond. They always have the food stored under thermal lights, ensuring it stays hot and fresh. And they don't just lump everything together willy-nilly. No, they've thought it through. Drinks are kept separate from the hot food, avoiding any unnecessary mishaps. It's these little details that really make a difference. And let's not forget the staff. My, oh my, the staff at The Lads are a class act. They're friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist everyone, making sure your experience is top-notch, whether you're dining in or picking up. So, in a nutshell, The Lads is a restaurant that truly cares — about their food, about their customers, about the details. Disappointing Experience at The Ladz

We used to enjoy visiting The Ladz, but our recent experience left us very disappointed. We noticed that what was once complimentary basic sauce on the plate is now being charged for, which felt excessive considering it's part of the meal presentation.

The service was especially poor. One of the waitresses, dressed in a gothic style and clearly disinterested, showed a lot of attitude throughout. When asked simple questions about the menu, her responses were unhelpful and sarcastic at one point even saying, “Don’t you know what you’re ordering?” which was incredibly rude and uncalled for.

We understand that the restaurant closes at 11 PM, but the way we were treated just before closing was unacceptable. A few minutes before 11, all the lights were turned off, leaving customers sitting at their tables in the dark while still trying to finish their meals. It felt like we were being pushed out the door. Staff came around 10 minutes before closing to start clearing plates—even though we were clearly still eating; rushing us to finish as if we were an inconvenience.

We had explained before ordering that we were running late due to unforeseen circumstances - a deer had been hit in front of us and the road was closed while police managed the scene. We had travelled from out of town, and this delay was entirely out of our control. Sadly, no understanding or empathy was shown. Instead, we felt rushed, unwelcome, and frankly disrespected.
