Staff were rude and didn't seem able to crack a smile. I was visiting the area from 300 miles away went to see the life boat over the way afterwards thought I'd have a coffee and enjoy the view of the sea. After a 5min wait in there to be served I was the only one waiting. The server started the interaction with "yeah" not even looking at me. That was the only interaction until I got the price. I said thank you and got a grunt in reply. The food was expensive for what we had a wedge of quiche £5.00?? My husband opted for the steak and ale pie and we shared a portion of chips two hot drinks and the total was £16.55! Read moreThe second time we've visited The Lookout. It's in a fantastic location overlooking the harbour and the sea. We had a coffee and a very generous slice of ginger cake, which was very tasty.However the let down was when we reached the top of the steps to go into the cafe'. Part of the outside area floor, tables, chairs and handrail were covered in bird dropping with the startling culprits roosting above the area. Thankfully there was lots of unoccupied tables inside otherwise there was no way we would have bought food. The roosting bird problem really needs to be addressed as soon as possible for hygiene and health...
