My 13 year's old daughter was forced to work for this cafe by her military grandmother, who has been abusing her for years and now is out of her care and back home. However My daughter has told me some awful stuff So let me explain. Her nan is friendly with the owner Barry.

After being bullied by her grandmother and her dad to work at this cafe for her nans friend illegally as she is under age the owner of this cafe barry was paying my child Illegally The amount was £6 Less than the minimum wage and she isn't old enough to be working there as its very much against the law.. He made fun of her handwriting when she already lacks confidence and was extremely rude towards her .. As my child has no work experience. I had to explain to her when she come home That is not the way to be treated by someone who employs you and it's illegal because of her age. She was forced to do it and it left her lacking Confidence forbhow shes been treated. If i her mother had been made aware sooner I would have put a stop to it sooner. But yes , this man has had my daughter working like a slave whilst making fun of her and paying her peanuts.. When I have tried to discuss this face to face with the owner he come out the kitchen with A jug of hot milk holding it close to my face It felt like I was being threatened to get out or be burnt and scolded. I did say to him multiple times ring the police let see what they say ..eventually I left du Due to the fact I thought he was gonna put hot microwaved milk all over my face.. I will deal with this professionally now.. Be warned if you approach the owner. He is violent and will manhandle you Whilst holding hot items in your face waving it around shouting, get out my cafe because he doesn't want the truth to come out that he's been abused my kid and child slave labour has took place. You're in a lot of trouble, now.. And you think her child abusing grandmother? It's gonna save your cafe, your wrong. Her word doesn't give you the right to break the law you...

I’m really not sure where to start… We often drive and walk past this cafe, and always had a look in to see it’s quite busy, so thought we would finally give it a try. I wish we had never bothered. Upon arrival, the staff just stared at us, without a hello. The Waiter was abrupt and came across very miserable. It was as though he and all the other staff members didn’t want to be there. They were just watching us eat and staring at the clock, even commenting on how long they had left. The Food came out and was disgusting. There was watery fat on my plate. Extremely greasy. It was as though the cook had just picked it in the pan and plonked it on the plate🤢 the sausage was hard and looked and tasted as though it had been cooked ten times over. Me and my partner were looking for a place for breakfast we came across this cafe. The lady was extremely friendly and welcomed us with open arms along with the Chef. The breakfast was first class came hot and was delicious best place I've been to for a breakfast considering I'm rather fussy when it comes to food. Thank You and well deserved tip.
