My friends suggest we visit Truro, as they tell me it has some excellent pubs, 'The Railway Tavern' certainly isn't one of those. Unfortunately, I understand that The Railway Tavern is closing permanently, which might explain its decline. Grotty pub! Asked bar person for a glass of pinot grigio..she mumbled that she didnt have that and produced a bottle of rose and a bottle of chardonnay from under the counter! Neither were chilled! It's a shame that this pub is closing to make way for apartments as it's actually not bad considering how close it is to the train station. It's nice and spacious with a good range of drinks. We came on a Saturday for the start of a pub crawl and the music was so loud and wouldn't have been out of place on Ibiza.
