Very disappointed with our visit, after being ignored at the empty bar with members of staff there we then decided to have breakfast, the breakfast wrap was almost cold and only one half had filling in it the other half had a bite size piece of sausage and smearing of egg yolk, it was literally falling apart I definitely wouldn't have called it a wrap! The 2 slices of toast was only cooked on one side! It was soft bread on the other side, we did complain and they replaced it which was fine until we left and along the alleyway there was the 2 chefs sitting there smoking roll ups and scruffy looking, we are down here on holiday and was looking forward to trying another wetherspoons but this one is definitely not on our list to visit again.... we are probably spoilt with our own local Ramsgate wetherspoons (The Royal Victoria) lovely atmosphere nice food and...

This j d wetherspoons is cheaper than the rip off Weymouth ones. they don't like to have more than one serving at the bar than people push in and sometimes I get back to the table & someone else is at the tablet so it's back to the bar to wait again to tell them another table number & hopefully that table is still vacant when I get back to it, WiFi don't work in half of the pub which is not good as EE is the only network that works in Dorchester buildings, Wednesday market day is a bad time to come in the royal oak as it seems like half of Europe is in here, would like more chips & a few more peas in the meals, breakfast muffin deal with a can of monster is j d wetherspoons best deal unless it's Salisbury where it's £1 more, find it's not so noisy in the royal oak than some wetherspoons, maybe Dorchester people have...

Polite, professional and welcoming staff. Disability/Accessible and Assistance Dog friendly, along with willing helpful staff too.

Entrance is via ramps around beer garden at the rear. I visited quite late and outdoor heating on the veranda would've been appreciated. Or like at Carluccios, a basket of blankets.

Great prices and very well stocked selection of ales, lager and wine. Knowledgeable staff on that score too.

Only one constructive criticism, which applies to most pubs/restaurants, is that one table could be left free of chairs. Allowing those in mobility scooters and the like, to park at a table without having to struggle moving chairs away.

Thank you very much, having summoned up the courage to actually leave the the house, I shall definitely be visiting again, Sue W,...

The manager, 24 yeah old boy, with a couldn’t care less attitude. These pictures are from the second time I requested edible salad on my meal and clean, free from limescale cutlery (a little would’ve been acceptable but it was absolutely coated, these pictures are from when we tried to wipe them after we got a second set from the manager). He thought this standard was acceptable, said the rocket was out of a fresh packet except the rocket I got was only slightly less slimy and rotten. Most of the leaves have rotted and wilted away. It’s all kids running this place now so there’s not even a standard to abide by. I’d be thought at least serving edible food would be rock bottom but it appears the bar is lower.

We dropped in for breakfast and found the service impeccable. The food was bought out fast, hot and freshly made. Prices really competitive and menu is standard across the weatherspoons group. It is a very popular here making it busy at peak times, however the staff cope very well. We found street parking at the front (chargeable) beer garden, customer toilets, lots of tables and seating. The only downside to our visit was it was very cold in the dining area. It was a wet an windy day and we were hoping to warm up over breakfast, but sadly it was just a bit to cold here. Tip, take a jumper šŸ˜Ž
