The Saracens Head — Restaurant in England

As previous reviews said it was a good place to visit, we did. The inside decor is odd and not very welcoming. We sat outside, with a great view of the old bridge and river. There were a lot of old people smoking, which was not good. We had a Scampi and an Ale pie, both of which were well over cooked. The Scampi tasted horrible. When I paid the bill there was no sign of remorse from the landlady. It’s a pub for the local drinkers. GIVE IT...

Decide for yourself if you think that's a fair price to charge, even if the pub is indeed on a river bank. We didn't think so. Finished up and relocated to a different pub in Hereford for our evening out where prices for the same order suddenly got more reasonable - £10.90...

Set by a bridge and overlooking the river, this pub has a wonderful setting. The interior is not so much to write home about though - L-shaped seating area surrounding the bar with a variety of furniture. A pool table is set in an alcove too. Can be very busy, and loud at times. Two cask...
