The Shake Lab — Restaurant in England

Me and my son love a milkshake... so we treated ourselves after a burger for lunch. In short, don’t bother. £9 for two basic chocolate shakes. One member of the 5 on duty (lady with heavily died hair) knew what she was doing and was really trying to get the other staff motivated. The others were all very young and had the thousand mile stare of hating the fact they were at work! They also had little idea what they were doing. It was a mess. And we went on a week day late afternoon (mall not busy). Our two shakes took 15 minute to make despite them only serving 3 or 4 other people whilst we were there. The girl who made them together in the same mixer looked at the mixture as if something was wrong but then served them anyway. They were off! Like drinking cheese!! There were empty boxes all over the floor and the place was a mess to be honest. Won’t be going back and suggest you don’t bother either. Gormet Burger Kitchen do takeaway milkshakes to die for and are right next door. Cheaper too and with real ice cream! Ah well, at least we tried the place...

Would have complained directly but you need Facebook for that and I don’t have it. Firstly I’ll start by saying the Staff are miserable as ever they clearly don’t want to be there. Every time I’m there they just look not interested at all. One guy (I don’t remember the name) he’s a short fella who just looks like he can’t be bothered with it which is ridiculous for a customer oriented place. Anyway I went there last Saturday and I’ll be fair to them the mall was extremely busy and so were they so I can understand the wait. However the girl serving me was incredibly rude and not helpful at all. The lad I mentioned earlier seemed more interesting ‘flirting’ with a girl than actually working. There was about 5 of them in there and they all just moped around not interested. There also only card which is just absolutely unacceptable cash is legal tender for Christ sake. Anyway after the girl and the guy stopped flirting around I got my shake and it was actually really nice. It’s a shame the staff are appalling there. Really poor experience there don’t...

Disgusting ! The blonde slightly older lady who I believe was the manager was so miserable and rude when ordering and was so rude to her other team members shouting orders at them . I asked for a milkshake with chocolate sauce and instead received one with Nutella so luckily I didn’t have a nut allergy . When I told the young girl about this she said she was sorry but she didn’t know which one bottle of sauce was the Nutella one . The seating area was disgusting ! It was so so dirty the tables hadn’t been cleaned or wiped down and the team members were stood around talking instead of tidying up ! The other team member working looked like she was about to cry and the blonde manager lady was shouting orders about her telling her she hadn’t cleaned up properly . The whole time I was waiting for my order this lady was just sat on her laptop whilst the young staff were frantically trying to make the orders .
