UPDATED Review -
Had bottomless brunch again here today. Originally booked for 5pm but changed to 3pm a week before, but trying to get hold of the pub to change was an absolute nightmare. E-mails were never answered. Answer phone messages never returned. Eventually 'Adrian' responded to a Facebook message to say he had changed it. Arrived to venue and it hadnāt been changedā¹ļø. Staff seemed very busy as bar was busier and flustered by the above error and told me to go outside and then theyād sort a table out and come and get me. They never bothered to come and get us so after a while we went inside and they were like itās ready now.
Sat down for a while and then eventually looked after by a girl. Served us flat Prosecco so our brunch didnāt officially start until 25 mins after start time as 3 out of 4 drinks had to go back.
Food was good and drinks were reasonably kept on top off but the bar was busy. Two guys then took over when the girl had a break, one was a guy with glasses and quite tattooed (didnt get his name) and the other guy was called Jason who served us before and from then on in it was much improved and he was genuinely interested in feedback on the brunch which I provided including the above. Jason really looks after guests and is friendly.
Luckily the delay didnāt affect us too much but wish they were better at responding to their phone / voicemail and emails as would have prevented todayās error.
We had a great brunch yesterday. The main guy who was serving us ( small guy white tshirt with a tropical shirt and shorts on didnāt say his name unfortunately, now know it was Jason ) was attentive and looked after us well.
Only thing that let the day down was the toilets but think they were flooded. We did ask to use the disabled which were good.
We would be back....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreš”I went into the station tap owned by Stonegate pub company I bought Erdinger WeissbrƤu Alcohol Free Wheat Beer they charge me Ā£6.15 when I go to Wetherspoons Iāve never seen it sold more than Ā£3.41 Stonegate is a massive chain of pubs. They have the buying power to make it cheaper but all the young people who go in that pub they want to rip them off but when I went in there at 8 pm I didnāt see anyone in there apart from five customers for a pub that is massive on a Saturday night basically the pub was dead. I left at 9 pm and there was still only five customers in the pub. The Roebuck in Wokingham is owned by Stonegate and they are a lot cheaper if the Roebuck is owned by Stonegate can be cheaper it just shows that they are ripping off their customers when they used to be called the Molly Miller Pub. It used to be the cheapest pub in the whole town since Stonegate taking it over they have whacked up the prices ripping off the customers because they think oh itās a big pub by the station. Everyoneās gonna go there first well tonight there was only five customers in a pub that could probably hold 100 people. I would say that was a dead pub. Maybe the prices are too expensive. Nobody wants to pay it so people donāt bother they go elsewhere. Please tell your Please tell your 18-year-old and above not to go to this pub itās too expensive and itās a rip-off. There are cheaper pubs to go to like Wetherspoons in Bracknell Wetherspoons in Reading. This pub is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't expect to go to a pub and be charged for parking for the benefit of paying for Beer on top of paying for the "privilege" Of parking. I took a very poorly person to enjoy a night out and was persuaded to go in for a short while as a thank you for taking them there. So, on the way in , it was dark, I was chatting to this person on the way in making sure they were ok before I left . Consequently , I failed to notice the parking fee signs. Cars were manoeuvring, and what with the advent of bright LED headlights, somewhat dazzling me it was hard to see any signs in the dark on a dismal night. This is probably only the third or fourth time ever, parking in a pub car park, and all the pubs I frequent never have a parking charge, so looking for parking fee notices wasn't on my mind . I am hacked off with not only the Station Tap for not only charging customers to use their establishment, but also the level of charge for what was an oversight, not ever having parked in the car park previously. Be aware, that the next time, we all go out to Wokingham, we will avoid this pub. ( was the Molly Millar).. What was a bit of a Good Samaritan gesture has dented my pocket and bitten me on the backside. I will make it my priority to make my feelings clear at every opportunity to disparage this pub for this sharp practice . On top of that the two beers I had were mediocre at best....
