Chaotic. Queue to the door because the customer at the till couldn't get their card to work. Food going to incorrect tables - customer next to us actually accepted food they hadn't ordered and the correct customer had to claim it back from in front of them. Too many items on the menu entitled 'of the day ' (soup, filled hot bap, panini, etc) with no indication of what the filling is. Staff at counter do not know either. At 14.10 the soup has run out. Staff at till totally stressed out. Probably a bad day but a couple of simple actions could make it so much better... PS menu is on a TV screen which changes so quickly that a group of 3 or more will take an extra 15 minutes to just decide which item to discover is no...

I personally invited my family to have a coffee at undercroft restaurant , where previous time it was delicious, so we came a long way from billingham to durham for coffee where today I was absolutely disappointed, they just gave machine coffee where quantity and quality very very bad and asked staff they said they are using same coffee bean but machine coffee which tasted like rubbish, staff said as they are closing they made coffee in machine , if the staff said clearly before buying that the coffee can be prepared only by coffee machine I would not bought , waste of 14 pounds which is expensive , really I want refund for the shit coffee , if restaurant owner rectify this and return...
