Title: A Hidden Gem for Food and Cider Lovers Review: I recently had the pleasure of discovering a truly hidden gem that stands out for its exceptional food, outstanding selection of ciders, and surprisingly reasonable prices. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that promised a delightful dining experience. The menu offers a tantalizing array of dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients that showcase the chef's dedication to flavor and presentation. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal or something light and refreshing, there's something on the menu to satisfy every palate. The standout for me was their signature dish, which was a perfect balance of flavors and textures, leaving me eagerly anticipating my next visit. But what truly sets this place apart is their impressive selection of ciders. From classic favorites to innovative new blends, the cider menu is curated to complement the food perfectly. Each sip was a revelation, offering a refreshing and nuanced taste experience that elevated the meal to new heights. What's more, the prices are incredibly fair, offering great value for the quality of food and drink served. It's rare to find a place that delivers on all fronts, but this establishment manages to do just that, providing a high-quality dining experience that won't break the bank. In conclusion, if you're a fan of delicious food, exceptional cider, and great prices, this is a must-visit destination. I cannot recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning soon to explore more of their menu. It's a perfect spot for both casual outings and special occasions, promising an enjoyable experience every time.

Went today to fill some spare time. This is really hard to score accurately. Its a wetherspoons. Cheap food and drink. You get what you pay for. The location is great. Its right in the marina overlooking the water and the boats. This pub is huge. Lots of outdoor space on decking and an upstairs inside. Lots of tables are large but we're only occupied by 1 or 2 customers. There are a lot of high tables with bar stool style seats. We found a table and looked at the menu. Why there are 5 different items on the table ill never know. Wetherspoons mag, cocktail menu, drinks menu, daily special menu and finally a normal menu. I ordered a burger and chips with a slice of cheese. My dad had a brunch. 2 eggs, bacon, beans 2 sausages and chips. These meals came with a soft drink and cost just under £19. There were 7 customers waiting to order and 1 young lad serving. A few other staff were dotted around. The staff were fine but just not enough of them. Tmi noticed customers had to get their own coffee from a machine. The meals didn't take long but they were basic. The burger was really dry. I don't think it was cooked badly but it did seem to be really cheap ingredients. Not many chips but they were cooked ok. I think 3 stars is fair. Nice place/location cheap food and drinks and the staff were fine.

If I could give no stars I would! Thought treat the kids out for dinner after a fun game of bowling, what a big mistake! Ordered food at 19:11pm... by 19:56 a women came over rudely stated the kids would need to be gone by 21:00pm! I stated we ordered food nearly an hour ago she couldn't run off quick enough! Was then told well it will be a 40 min delay (baring in mind we already had waiting over 50 mins!) She then proceed to blame the bar staff for not notifying us of this delay! Bar staff? There was no one in site! Then told things are taking so long because they are short staffed! Well they don't look to be in a hurry stood in the kitchen door way playing about on their phones!( I did put a sticker over this member of staffs face before posting) When the food finally arrived over an hour late, you could tell it had been sat and forgotten about! The curry was drying out, the poppadoms were stale, the naan was rock solid, there's value for money and then there's just pure rubbish! May as well went McDonald's! Totally avoiding this weatherspoons in future, no staff attention, lack of capability no customer service! I highly recommend everyone to bypass West Quay and go Post & Telegraph least they know what they are doing!

I've been going to The West Quay with a group of friends regularly for years. On Monday I noticed that the 8" pizzas had been added to the deli deals section. To avoid any confusion, I took the menu with me to the bar and ordered a spicy meat feast pizza stating that I wanted it from the deli deals section with chips and salad added. The young man behind the till was very polite but was clearly unaware of this addition and even though I showed him the menu, said that the pizzas weren't part of the deli deals. I presume he was new so I pointed the items to him on the menu as he then asked his colleague whether it came with chips and salad. His bearded colleague was rather rude to him saying simply "no it doesn't" rather snappily. The first chap then said "So you want a pizza with a bowl of chips and a side salad?" "Yes" I said "but from the deli deals section not as separate items" as I didn't want to be ending up paying for the chips and salad as full price side items. He then said it didn't come with chips and salad. At this point I was getting rather exasperated and said "Oh for goodness' sake!" and read out the menu to him while pointing it out on the menu: "New to deli deals: choose any 8" pizza from small plates above. Add salad £1.05. Add chips £1.05". Then he didn't know how to put it through on the till. Fortunately another colleague arrived and she knew exactly what was what and told him how to put it through. I'm not having a go at the young lad. He was polite throughout but obviously had not been trained up properly. His beardy colleague could do with being a bit better mannered though.

So...my order arrived promptly. Not the best I've had there as the pizza and the chips could have been hotter but acceptable. One of my friends had placed an order via the app before I'd placed mine yet I'd almost finished before his had even arrived. Then another decided to order what I'd had at the bar. Five minutes later, a staff member came to the table to say that they'd run out of dough and would he like to change his order, which he did. Must have been the best part of an hour later when his order still hadn't arrived so he cancelled it. This is the poorest performance I've ever witnessed at any Whetherspoon's anywhere. Can't fault the price of the deli deal though as I thought the side orders would be just a salad garnish with a handful of chips but it was the full side salad and the small bowl of chips from the main menu. That's why we go there. Pizza, chips, salad and a drink for a tenner! Can we have 2 of my favourites back on the menu too? The sharer and the...

Choose here for dinner BIG BIG MISTAKE. There were 5 of us and when we walked in we noticed it was quiet, we ordered drinks and went to our table to decide what we would have for dinner. No problems yet. Dinner was then ordered at the till. We waited, and waited and waited, eventually our dinner came out, the first plate was the wrong order, the second and third plate (fish, Chips and mushy peas) was cold and we counted 7 chips on one plate and 9 on the other, the 4th plate was a small pizza which was undercooked and actually looked like a microwave pizza, the 5th plate was okay. We highlighted this to staff and the reply was do you want it reheated !!!! We said no we would like a fresh re cook. At this point another member of staff came across and asked what the problem was, we explained the issues and she said ok and walked away, no apology, no show of care nothing. They took away our plates and walked over to the counter where they huddled around laughing and joking, still with our plates in their hand. We had already been there approx 1.5 hours and it was getting late, we decided to just leave. We went to the counter to ask for a full refund and cancel the re cook. One staff had to get another and then another until there were 3 staff around the till trying to work out if they were going to give us a refund. Eventually they gave us it, but again no apology or even a hint that they cared. Quite disgusted and will never return. Word of mouth goes a long way and I certainly won't be singing west quays praises...
