How can I start off.......well when I lived in the area I would take my two little girls to Tomassi's not so much for a treat but because I wanted to go there. It was always a cut above the rest, a safe friendly place I distinctly remember Mr & Mrs Tomassi dining upstairs and the two girls hassling them. Now my youngest is 24 and has a 4 month I just felt it right to take my little girls back and it was like slipping into your bestest, comforting jumper. Absolutely fantastically magical what a brilliant time with great staff and out of this world food also great value. Thank you for surviving & 100yrs strong, this will now be our once a month experience. Update to the latter Tomassi's is an absolute Gem, so many years & visits I cannot fault it. The service is and always was impeccable, I seriously love the atmosphere & the food/menu added a few more photos of how relaxed my granddaughter was.

Beautiful setting, friendly staff, incredibly tasty food! Had dinner with the family. Thereâs something on the menu for all ages, all palates. ⢠The potatoes in the below photo are the tastiest potatoes Iâve ever tasted, so soft, so buttery, yet they donât fall apart! They melt off your tongue ⢠Their take on the Caesar salad is creatively delicious, generous, and healthy ⢠The perfectly cooked steak canât be faulted and while I avoid desserts anywhere I dine, I did shamelessly devour their âmystical macaroonâ and that will be the first and last time I have any dessert. It was really good, too good for my taste but I understood why people eat them. Iâm hoping walking a few extra miles will help me feel better about breaking my no dessert rule, but glad I tried it. Thanks for the wonderful service!

1 = poor 10 = excellent Welcome 9 Atmosphere 9 Cleanliness 7 Speed of serve 9 Attentiveness 7 Food quality 4 Value for money 6 Drinks 8 (59/ 72) The staff here did everything right, itâs a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. The food however, the one thing you come for. Summary: Outdated and bland food Few of us had prawn cocktail which wasnât bad, personally not a fan of tomatoes so spent a lot of time fishing out the tiny pieces, no mention of them on the menu. One of us had the king prawns in garlic butter, which they were swimming in. A drizzle or two to dip bread in to not so bad, but this was more like a 1/4 of a bowl of grease with prawns thrown in, the flavour was ok⌠On to mains, I had sirloin (medium) which was in all fairness cooked to medium. But there was no seasoning, the chips from a packet frozen, but were ok. The mushrooms, slimy out of a tin then warmed, not nice at all. Salmon straight from the freezer, not seasoned, watery. The âvegetable medleyâ which was peas and carrots, no idea what would of been wrong with seasonal veg nor why you would describe as a medley, except when you get the obvious, that they were tinned or frozen. The most remarkable part is I have no idea how long you have to cook a pea for it to lose all its flavour, but this had been achieved. Curry, served with rice & peas & carrots, maybe theyâre desperate to get rid of them. The desserts were probably the only saving grace, very nice and surprisingly the cream tasted fresh.

This cafe was really nice, I enjoyed eating here. The only thing to be improved would be a way to keep the bugs away, there was a wasp under the table, and a fly or two around while we were eating. Also the air conditioning could be slightly stronger, other than those things which I actually had to think about lol, it was great! I got the halloumi, red pepper & onion chutney panini, with a strawberry milkshake, my friend got a cappuccino with the all day brunch. He loved the coffee straight away, my milkshake was delicious as well, I actually ordered 2 lol, the 2nd one took a bit longer to arrive, but the service was excellent! Jessica was a fantastic waitress and I can't fault her. The food was nice đ¤ I would come back here if I'm in the area!

Tomassi's - I have been visiting this restaurant for a long time almost 30 + years, but for some reason never reviewed it. I think I'm well placed to leave an honest review. Good quality food. The menu hasn't changed much but that menu they do very well. The deserts are a main feature. Service is always friendly and polite. Prices remain very respectable. The atmosphere is always very good. Parking is at the rear and after 6pm is free. Facilities are clean and accessible for everyone. This is a very traditional restaurant which has run on a reputation for almost 70+ years and will always be one of my go places. I would highly recommend

It seems everyone knows this restaurant and everyone loves it. Ice creams are of course fabulous, and my seafood salad was excellent too. We knew it wouldn't be cheap so we made it the main meal of our day so the bill didn't feel so bad! Service was excellent - I accidentally ordered something different to what I thought I was getting, waitress could tell I was disappointed with what arrived and immediately sought to correct, without extra charge. I was embarrassed but she insisted for me not to. We had a lovely time.
