Landlady is really friendly and they're doing their best to advertise good value drinks and music events. We won't visit again because we had to choose between sitting in the main bar watching the football very quietly with more senior patrons who were understandably listening to the commentary or the sports bar with teenagers dressed in the most revealing outfits they could possibly find, shouting really offensive things at the football and using the c word every 5 minutes. Having visited The Vic 3 years ago I have to say that my experience back then was less than friendly, I actually felt quite uncomfortable. Having heard that new management have changed things up I thought I would give it another go and how glad I was that I did. Happy welcoming staff, clean and more modern. Visited the pub on a DJ night last week. Was just walking past with my partner when we decided to see what was going on. I love to see someone giving young people a chance to express themselves and to be given a place where they are accepted. There aren't many places like this anymore.
