Vinnie's — Restaurant in England

DO NOT GO TO VINNIES – RUDE, VIOLENT, AND TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL! I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience at Vinnies was so outrageous, I have to warn people.

Yes, I’d had a few drinks – it’s a pub, that’s normal – but what happened was beyond unacceptable. I was waiting at the bar with at least 10 other people when I noticed there was no one behind the bar. All the staff had vanished out the back. No explanation, no service – just a completely abandoned bar.

I raised my voice a little to ask if they were still serving. They said yes, so I asked why no one was there to actually do it. Then one of the bar staff – clearly flustered – started shouting at me and told me to leave. No warning, no reasoned response. Just pure aggression.

The bouncer came over and escorted me out, but on my way to the door, one of the staff members physically pushed me and looked like they wanted to start a fight. Outside, I tried to calmly explain I didn’t know there was some kind of staff meeting, but that still didn’t explain why customers were left waiting. That’s when the bouncers turned on me and also acted like they wanted to fight.

To top it all off, at least two of the staff members appeared drunk themselves. Swearing, stumbling, totally unprofessional.

This place is an absolute circus. Staff are aggressive, drunk, and completely unfit to run a bar. If you want to be ignored, shouted at, and physically assaulted – then by all means, go to Vinnies. But if you value your safety, stay far, far away. One of the worst, most hostile environments I’ve ever...

Absolute joke, came in for a drink and heard the bar staff say there was an intoxicated male asleep in the toilets. After buying our drinks we sat down, my partner went to the toilet. As he came out an intoxicated male was blocking the doorway. He gently ushered the male out of the way and said "excuse me mate". This was met with a torrent of abuse. The bouncers told my partner to leave as the intoxicated male was clearly a friend or they were to scared to deal with the problem. We left with our drinks left on the table and no apology. Take your money and kick you out because the bouncers are scared of their own shadow. Joke of a place, will not return...

Was really happy to come across this place! Lively, friendly bar, really good for sports and music, we were on our hols and this will be our go to place when we return next year. Great vibe, and the barmaid that served us the few times we came, didn't catch her name (dark hair, gorgeous tatts!) Was so lovely, friendly and welcoming, such a credit to the place. Great little bar and look forward to coming...
