This used to be one of my favourite cafés in Blackpool. A decent selection of hot and cold food, cakes and snacks, proper Barista style coffee and tea in tea pots with proper cups. All in a lovely setting. I couldn't believe it when I returned for the first time this year. No hot food - just what is inside the cabinet on the counter - a few cakes, bought in sandwiches and crisps. Drinks only in paper cups from a machine - more waste for the environment. No decaf coffee and no biscuit with your brew. There seemed to be only one member of staff on duty. When you found an empty table you had to move the rubbish on it to another table as there wasn't anyone clearing them. None of this is a criticism of the young lady on the counter - she was very pleasant but obviously overworked. Very, very disappointed and a big let down for the image of the waterpark and Blackpool in general. Yet another cafe succumbing to the...
Read moreHave passed this café so many times on walks along the prom but this is the first time I have eaten here. It's located in the entrance to the Sandcastle Waterpark. Comfy seating areas with plush seats surrounded by colourful South Sea Island décor, and waterfalls inside and out! Ordered and paid for my food and drink at the bar - it was very busy but the queue moved quickly - and a friendly waitress brought it to my table. They serve breakfasts, sandwiches and toasties, pizzas, omelettes and other light meals and a wide choice of drinks including beer, cider and wine. Had the caramelised red onion and goat's cheese ciabatta, served with dressed salad and coleslaw, and a pot of tea. A tasty and satisfying lunch at a reasonable price. Would recommend this café though it does get very busy in the...
Read moreWe used to love coming to this cafe - even if we werenât visiting the Sandcastle Water Park! The pizzas and paninis were delicious and they did great childrenâs lunches. All the food and drinks were freshly prepared and also delicious. Really disappointed to visit today to be told that they only do pre-packaged sandwiches and cakes. There was nothing that weâd want to eat; it was lunchtime and they only had a couple of sandwiches left. Itâs a huge shame that whoever owns this potential goldmine is letting it fail by only doing rubbish that you can buy in a vending machine. Save your money and...
