Came in and bought a load of stuff after fasting from 7.00 p.m the previous day so I was clearly starving with 2 screaming toddlers. After ordering and getting to me destination 30 miles away, I open the bag to find my baguette missing. I was fuming and preceeded to call the store who apologised for the massive inconvenience but assured me I would be compensated upon arrival.
The next day I went into store and the staff member called a few people to verify and replaced the baguette and I think expected me to be happy. In her head this was compensation I believe even though I'd now wasted another journey to pickup a ÂŁ3 sandwich. Absolutely disgraceful as a subway franchise owner when this kind of thing happens we give away free platters or replace x4 the value not just replace 1 measly sandwich. Told that I couldnât have a toasted wrap for âhealth and safetyâ reasons. OK, you might fairly say why would you want a toasted wrap and Iâll take that criticism. However, to ask and be told because of health and safety? Would a piece of heated chicken become chemically unstable? Or a dribble of mayo - it was a VERY skinny wrap - suddenly become hotter than the surface of the sun? Who knows. But if Wenzels quote âhealth and safetyâ at me for a reason not to heat up a wrap then Iâll have to conduct a risk assessment on the mental trauma I may have to encounter when visiting a Wenzels outlet...
   Read moreSTAFF ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. I know there is a 3 person limit in the store currently due to the pandemic. I didn't see the sign initially and went in the store with 4 people already inside it. Soon as I walked in I was told by one of the female staff in the store to get out in a very rude manner. She did not speak to the other customers in that way, and with 1 extra person already inside, this made no sense. I felt like it was a racial thing, she spoke very well with all the white customers but being brown and entering the store, it triggered her racist side and caused her to be rude.
