Warning: do not order food via Uber Eats

I wanted to be fair with this review as the food is delicious, the portions are generous, the staff are very friendly and it's an overall pleasure to dine in for an evening dinner. It's one of my favourite Indian restaurants in Weston.

However this establishment is not equipped to handle Uber Eats orders. You will most likely be waiting a couple of hours longer than the predicted arrival time with no communication or updates. Twice now I've ordered on the Uber Eats app and twice I've had to call up repeatedly to confirm the delivery, to what appears to be a disorganised last minute panic to prepare my dinner on their end. I'm not convinced I would've even received dinner had I not reminded them.

I still want to give this review 4 stars because I've dined their many times and find it an absolute pleasure. I will always happily eat in this restaurant, so giving 1 star feels disingenuous. But the Uber Eats experiences were unacceptable and need to be sorted.

We had a lovely family outing at Zak Kitchen in Weston-super-Mare and couldn’t be happier with our experience! We started off with delicious poppadoms — crisp and perfectly seasoned, a great way to kick off the meal. I ordered the Tandoori Mixed Grill along with some paneer, and both were bursting with flavor and cooked just right. The spices were balanced beautifully, making every bite a delight.

The rest of the family enjoyed the Chicken Korma, which was rich, creamy, and comforting — perfect for a family meal. Portions were generous, and the food felt authentically prepared.

What really made the visit special was the friendly and attentive service. The staff made us feel welcome and ensured everything was just right, adding to the relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.

I was part of a group of 7 men who had booked a table for a Friday evening. The restaurant is small and was very busy, so trying to hear the conversation around the table was difficult. The waiters were extremely friendly and helpful, explaining what certain dishes were and making suggestions suggestions from the menu. There was quite a wait for our food, we assumed that was due to the fact the restaurant was very busy. However, when the food was served, we forgot about the wait, as the food was excellent! This restaurant does not have a liquor license so we brought our alcohol. As a result, the price of the meal was very reasonable.
