Christmas dinner at Port Royal. Really looking forward to our annual get together. £38 per head. Ok starter of some paté with one small roll. Followed by what was actually a microwaved individual roast dinner (think tinned carrots). It genuinely was that. Was wondering if desert could be any worse. And it exceeded my expectations of how bad it could be. A tiny microwaved portion the size of a biscuit that somehow was burnt to a crisp on the outside with custard of no discernible flavour. Read moreI visited this pub yesterday with a small group, to drink but not eat. My beer had a chlorine overtone. Not nice. Others had the second choice on tap and found that it really wasn't good enough to drink. The four halves cost me £8.60, or over £4 a pint for poor quality - wow ! The sun was streaming in across the river, which should have been nice, except the mirror above our table was filthy. I certainly wouldn't be confident to sample the food on this showing. Come on PR, these standards are not even close to acceptable. It's easy to see why Wetherspoons is full and pubs like PR are...

Was told after ordering that I couldn't have cheese chips cause they didn't have enough to do cheese sandwich or panni if there do cheese on chips ? Good choice of on tap largers beers etc apart from they didn't have 2 cause they were waiting for delivery. They were very child and dog friendly. Menu is good but portions were very small.
