Culinary Delight Beyond Expectations
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Prospect, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by an inviting ambiance that set the stage for a memorable evening.
The menu at Prospect is a testament to culinary innovation, featuring a diverse selection that caters to various tastes. Each dish was a masterpiece, meticulously crafted with a perfect balance of flavors and presented with an artistic flair. The attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience was truly commendable.
The service was impeccable, with a knowledgeable and friendly staff who elevated the overall atmosphere. They were attentive without being intrusive, creating an environment that felt both refined and welcoming.
Standout dishes included venison, which showcased the chef's culinary prowess. The wine pairing recommendations were spot-on, enhancing the overall dining experience.
In addition to the exceptional food and service, the ambiance of the restaurant was thoughtfully designed, contributing to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Whether it's a special occasion or a desire for an exquisite culinary adventure, Prospect undoubtedly delivers an unforgettable dining experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend Prospect to anyone seeking a gastronomic journey that transcends expectations. It's a culinary gem that deserves every accolade.

Read moreFood was good here and there was more of a diverse selection compared to other places on the Quay. The inside was well spaced out, the staff all wore masks and the tables were clean. I had a lovely meal of salmon with sweet potato mash - it came with avocado salsa which for me didn't really go with the meal, so personally I would have preferred another hot veg. The only thing that let it down was the ice cream (served as a takeaway outside). The flavours were unusual which made us decide to have one. My friend had a cone whereas I asked for a tub (GF) .. she had a sugar cone and one scoop, I had a plastic tumbler with a couple of shavings of ice cream (pushing it down would not have made a whole scoop). The peanut butter ice cream was pretty tasteless so I wouldn't recommend that one - maybe try one of the other more unusual flavours such as elderflower or rhubarb and ginger - bit get a cone! Unless it was just that the young fella that served us was having a really bad day and if served on a different day or by someone else, you might get a decent portion for your money .. which was £6 for 2 ice creams .. alternatively pop in the local shop and get 2 tubs if you want a...

Unfortunatey, the second time around, this was not the experience we had.
This time the staff (particularly the chef) left a bad taste in my mouth. I was about to pay for my food order, when I heard the chef tell the person taking my order that the dish was no longer available.
I had ordered the last vegetable lasagne, but it turned out that while I was ordering the lasagne, there was another conversation going on in which the chef had “reserved” the lasagne for someone else. Which then meant the order that I was in the process of making (literally about to pay for) was null and void. I was told that “it’s not available”.
I was looking very much forward to what I ordered, and being a veggie there were only a few things I could eat. So, I told the person taking my order to cancel the order for all three of us and we left the pub.
I still rate the place but that behaviour was just baffling to me. The order was clearly through and I was ready to pay. The other person merely “reserved” and should have been let down gently, not me.
Or am I...
