2 of us arrived for dinner on a Tuesday evening and were seated at a sticky table. The hummus and pitta starter arrived quickly. So quickly that the pitta fell onto the sticky table when plonked in front of us. Waitress simply walked away. Half of the pitta was stale on one dish. When I pointed out that half the bread was stale, the waitress' solution was to offer more bread.
2 mains ordered which arrived 10 min apart so the first was practically cold by the time the second arrived. The chicken was ordered extra hot, but it arrived with no discernable spice on it at all.
I simply left most of my cold, non-spicy food which sat in front of me for another 10 min before anyone checked if the food was okay. The waiter (different from the first) seemed genuinely confused that I didn't like the food and his solution was to offer us ice cream. He seemed even more confused when I declined the ice cream and simply walked away from our table.
The next 15 min was spent with a full plate of food in front of me (as per the picture) whilst all waiting staff actively and noticeably avoided approaching our table. The telltale sign was that our table rooster wasn't taken away!
As we were leaving, I asked to speak to the manager (Pedro?) to point out how bad our experience was. He simply couldn't care. He mumbled about speaking with the staff and said he was confident it would be better next time.
Not one single person here seems to care about ANY aspect of what they're doing.
Stale food, meals served at random intervals, and a complete absence of customer...
Read moreIt’s annoying because Nandos is my favourite restaurant and I’ve just moved here. I’ve eaten here 3 times. The first time they forgot items off of my order and when I let them know the second time I visited, they made me buy the replacements before giving me additional ones for free before giving me a bland chicken with the sauce leaking into the box? 🤷♂️. The next time, after advertising on Defence Discount, they told me they weren’t sure if they were doing it so couldn’t offer our party the discount even though at that point it was still on the app and one of the main reasons we went there as a party. To top it off, last night, I turned up at 8.45, a lady greeted me and told me where to stand as there was someone ahead of me, to when the person in front finished, two girls just cut in front of me, were told there ‘was no chicken’ but managed to convince the guy behind there they should have some and took ages to order. When I got to the till, I patiently explained what happened and that I was only there for 1/2 a chicken and that’s it. I was told told in the most condescending way that ‘there’s no chicken and there’s nothing I can do about it’ even with two fresh pieces of chicken thrown on the grill literally seconds before. We’ve all worked in hospitality and if you make a mistake you at least try and make it right but this lady wasn’t having any of it. I’ve never had a bad experience in any other nandos and with this one being on my...
Read moreWe went to dine in store because we wanted something more acceptable than what you get if you get food for takeaway, like hot food and human interaction. Unfortunately neither of those things were offered. We waited around 10 minutes for someone to come and talk to us and give us a table, while there were several free for two people and waiting staff just stood and talked while people were waiting. When we finally got to a table and opened the menu i was lucky to find samples for the food they offered: the menu was oily and had bits of chicken and sauce stuck on it. Ordering was easy and quick. The food didn't arrive until after 30 minutes. It was definitely NOT warm, the mash was cold and had a weird feeling on top, as did the chips. We didn't complain as I was feeling my stomach eating itself (after all we already waited enough time).
As for the stuff, we could clearly see anything that was happening in the kitchen. A member of staff poured something into a plate, from a microwavable container, and then used their hands (no gloves on) to pread the food in the plate! Needless to say none of them was wearing gloves while handling the food.
Not planning to ever go back or even order...
