Ive been twice now. Once for Sunday lunch with my family and also for 241 burgers on a Tuesday with the girls. Both times I've been really impressed with the food and the service. The meat on the Sunday lunch was some of the best I've ever had. We felt at ease with the kids just being themselves too. Some places we don't feel so welcome when they're a bit loud -but not here, it was really chilled! Grandparents were impressed with the lovely river views too. I'd definitely recommend ordering something with chips. I can't get over how good they were.

Hosted a surprise silver wedding anniversary party in the private function room at the lock and quay and couldn’t recommend it enough, the staff were all so helpful and attentive throughout the day and when setting the room up, it’s in a great location with amazing views of the river Tyne, all the guests commented about how great the room and the location was, will definitely book for a function again as would the family and friends who attended!!

Visited today for Sunday lunch, on the gateshead side of the quayside just over from the swing bridge. Lovely new pub/restaurant with very friendly staff, it's also dog friendly. We ordered a beef and gammon dinner- really good portion sizes and happy to customise (we didn't want certain veg). It was £16.95 and totally worth it for lovely tender meat, fluffy roasties and creamy mash. Couldn't fault a single thing on this dinner!!

When we arrived we said we had a table booked as it was our Pearl wedding anniversary...and we were told there's no bookings here...you sit where you want. I was quite disappointed as I had requested a table with a nice view..but we just sat down and the young lad that was on duty came over to us and told us how things worked as we were there for bottomless brunch. We got our first drink and ordered our food and just sat and chilled. Our drinks were refilled often and plenty of them and you could change your drink as often as you wanted. Normally other bottomless brunch you have to stick to lager if you chose lager but not here. When the food arrived...we chose the burger and chips ...it was nice and hot and very tasty. We would definitely pay another visit here. Worth every penny that we paid. The young lad that was working was really friendly and hard working and was always asking if everything was ok. I'm sure you'll not be disappointed...

What a wonderful day was had, we had a glorious day having a bottomless brunch all 13 of us on one long table. It was so nice they didn’t split us up. Some restaurants would not lock and quay. I thoroughly enjoyed the array of cocktails that were shared we have had so many of them now I have to recommend The bramble. For the two hours we spent there I couldn’t have had a better two hours in my life, They have a lovely garden on the water. It was so nice of them to ensure our glasses were never empty and don’t get me started on the food. The food was excellent. I can’t wait to return. I definitely will be returning to try that full menu, The advertisement for the 50p wings has excited me. I will be back on...

Lock & Quay a lovely pub but also a fantastic private venue hire! You can have the whole place or the lovely 1st floor room for smaller gatherings, with views of the castle, cathedral, the river and bridges. Everything was amazing and spot on for our recent party of around 50 people. The buffet was exceptional! Enough to feed double our group and all very tasty, plenty of choice and well presented. The bar was well stocked and the staff friendly, attentive and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit if you’re planning a celebration, I’m sure you won’t be...
