Goodfillas — Restaurant in Gedling

The food is great. Nothing fancy, just normal breakfast café fare.

I sometimes used it if I was over that way in the morning and missed breakfast at home.

The reason I've dinged it a couple of stars is that the last time I went, the owner was outside smoking (that's a big no-no for me - I hate cigarettes at the best of times, but especially not near my food or with people cooking my food). I was in a hurry, and he wanted to finish his cigarette, so I went to the Co-op next door and got a pack of sandwiches instead.

Personally, I won't go again. But I stress that this is just me - the kind of people who use these places don't have the same concerns as me, and the food is...

Walked in to this typical English breakfast takeaway, two ladies serving and cooking to food. Very busy but both ladies worked hard and efficiently. Ordered several breakfast rolls which were cooked to order. At one point one of the ladies dropped set of serving tongues on floor, without hesitation or second thought picked them up and placed them into a washing sink, equipped herself with a clean set and continued serving.
