Update: my apologies - this review was for the King's Walk branch. Interesting that reviews for this branch even more closely track our experience with one person saying her and her colleagues dare each other to go in! Stars are for the doorstop sandwiches, but service is actively unpleasant. We actually didn't intend to go today but discovered our go-to was closed, and joked ahead of time about going to the place where they hate customers. Sure enough, no greeting on entry from older woman who looked at us like we'd annoyed her just by existing. Luckily our interactions were mostly with a much nicer other woman on the till and a younger waitress who was trying really hard and was friendly (other grumpy/unpleasant staff mercifully missing today-there's more than one). Of our two meals, one was incorrect on two fronts and the other wildly undercooked. Not so bad that I felt like complaining to staff who already hate you. Still, at least there were two friendlier staff and I can cope with "friendly and mildly chaotic" much better than "actively hostile". Other comments seem to mimic our experience and ours has been over literally years. The fact we joke about it in advance should be a flag! Surprised the owner hasn't acted on other feedback here saying the same. We know what we're going to get (being treated like an inconvenience) and ignore it in favour of the nice sandwiches, but the behaviour is predictable and consistent. Owner - you...

Went here with my little sister yesterday. Two women were working, one really old and the other one, a little older than middle aged. Both were completely sour faced, but I just guessed they’d been working all day and are tired.
After they finished serving the man in front, the middle aged woman turned around and started cleaning and the old one completely ignored us and began serving the man behind us. I thought, perhaps, she’s old and didn’t see us so I thought nothing of it. When she finished with him, she didn’t acknowledge me whatsoever so I spoke up and ordered. Then the middle aged one finished with her ‘cleaning’ and started serving the customers just behind me. In the middle of packing my order, a few men walked in and the old woman asked the ones behind us if he had arrived before us and whether we cut in front??? The man was lovely and politely said no they were here before.
Normally, I wouldn’t have felt singled out but considering me and my sister were the only visible Muslims in the shop, I definitely felt targeted.
To be honest, I’d rather they said they didn’t want to serve us, than be treated like third...
Read morePlease avoid their coffee like a plague. Ive paid £3.40 for the worse cafe mocha I've ever had in my life, so bad that i had to throw in the drain. I had three sips to give a chance but it was tasteless. After that I went to Nero and paid &£3.10 where I had a proper cafe mocha with real taste of coffee. If you want to charge £3.40 for a coffee, whatever coffee is, you have to sell quality coffee and not what they sell it. Whatever...
