Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience on our recent visit. It was a bank holiday Monday and the restaurant was very busy so there was a wait for the food which we didn't mind. My partner ordered the sizzling dolsot salmon bibimpap and I ordered the chicken omurice which I was looking forward to as I've not tried it before. When the bibimbap arrived it was stone cold. The waitress was very helpful and took it straight back. About 5 mins later it came out again (it was the same one as my other half had mixed up the ingredients like you're supposed to), the dolsot was sizzling hot however the dish inside was still stone cold! My main still hadn't come, at which point we decided to leave as it was getting ridiculous. Just as we were leaving, my main turned up! The waiting staff were very polite throughout and didn't charge us for the drinks we had, it's such a shame the quality of food...
Read moreWe had a table of 4 booked on Sunday, 7pm. We were the only table eating in but lots of takeaways/deliveries, which was great to see for a smallish restaurant on a sunday. Staff were extremely helpful, attentive and happy to talk thru the menu and recommend dishes, happy to turn up the heat on a couple too, my friend and I love it hot! Dishes came a little staggered but we didn't mind that, we'd ordered a good mix. All the food was very tasty and authentic. Kimchi was cold, I prefer mine room temp, but I understand commercial catering storage requirements. The kimchi was fresh and zingy, I meant to ask if they make it themselves. Overall a great night out with really good food, we felt comfortable and looked after! So great to see a new small business with a young team, clearly doing something they love! We will be...
Read moreWe used to love coming here before, unfortunately not anymore and will avoid it in the future too. We live a good 45 minutes drive away. We ordered two ramens and battered chicken with chips. The taste of the two ramens were nearly identical (it wasn't far off to a cup ramen's taste), my partner ordered salmon ramen, I ordered chicken ramen. They were more like a bowl of noodle than ramen, there was barely any meat in it, and on top of this all, they forgot my egg (which is ok, we are ppl after all) but to receive a stone cold hard boiled egg on my ramen, I was furious. When I thought no one can mess up cooking battered chicken, they did , the batter was almost as thick as the chicken underneath it. So thank you soul n soul, I know now that I will never come here again. If you don't want to eat overpriced cup ramen,...
