This is a honest review, I used to love this place, but has since gone down hill, when it first open i used to love it and used to promote it, but when it got bigger the owner of the shop the man started being difficult, forcing me to have rice with everything even the vegetables just to get a bit more money out of everyone, they change there opening times all the time.
And last time I was in there I awnsered the phone, he told me to hurry up and that he was busy, It was because of my mum was in hospital, so I said OK I just have the patty and then when I was holding my card to pay. He kept on trying to talk while I was trying to liston to the news about my mother. I said sorry my mums is in hospital, i just have that (the patty) he said he dont care and he is busy in the back, i even tho I was ready to pay. This made me angry so I walked out. He also charges you 50p to pay on Card what is illegal now. And i don't know why but he stopped doing chicken breast chicken curry and decided to put hot wings inside the curry, so you have to deal with the bones.
Good points about them the 3 other people are nice his wife, young boy and girl. The food is a bit salty but I enjoy salty food but he has been taking more meat out and putting more potatos in.
I know i will be band from here as anyone that leaves a bad review he bands but I won't be returning to the shop. Also you can tell a lot of the 5 stars are fake because they are only 1 or 2 reviews on there account.
I feel very disappointed in the way the owner acted towards me, i felt so backstabbers, i used to promote his shop, helped him out with his electric bill, write a good review on him and after all that I told him that I was ready to pay, more than once and would not listen and just talk over him. Then when I said sorry im on the phone to someone because my mums in hospital he said I dont care after I told him several times I just have the patty and im...
Read moreThis takeaway is probably my favourite part of Gravesend. Everything is made with home recipes, Kumar and his wife are warm and friendly. The first dish I had here in 2018 was their sweet potato and pumpkin curry, and before that, I had never had food that had brought a smile to my face.
I was so relieved to see that they now accept contactless payment, and have been waiting for that for so long. That has filled the final star in my 5-star review!
I will miss it dearly when I move to Scotland in March - the food has turned so many bad days...
Read moreThis place is great, I used to walk past quite often and eventually decided to give it a try - and I'm so glad I did! The food is a mix of Sri Lankan and South East Asian and everything is delicious. The couple who own it are lovely and seem to be more interested with keeping their customers happy than profit so everything is reasonably priced. Currently during the Covid-19 restrictions they are open 7 days a week which is an...
