Invicta Bar — Restaurant in Gravesham

First time visit this week

Did not have food, beer and service was fine and at first the place had a nice friendly feel. Partner went to the use the toilet around 2230 and found three men in their not using the facilities just mucking about , trying to intimidate him as he used the facilities. They were not that young but he reckons mid to late 20s. Several extremely derogatory remarks were made, even though he had not interacted with them whatsoever and tried to use the toilet in peace. They waiting until going outside back toward the bar and did not say it to his face, deciding to shout some nasty remarks in the hallway where the toilets are situated . He was very angry about this, but had had a few drinks and decided to leave it. He pointed out a tall overweight man bald and beard in yellow T-shirt as one of the idiots late 20s, probably single cos he looked like a mess (still angry about this!!)

Not on when you are just out having a pre Christmas drinks with pals. We were a decent sized group, won’t be returning to the bar with knobs like them as patrons.

I've recently moved to Gravesend and have been trying to find a new local that matches my favourite old haunt in Tunbridge Wells. I think I might have found my new favourite place. There's a great selection of spirits (particularly gin) and ales, including my favourite Lindemann's Kriek. It's not the cheapest of places if you're used to a pint of Foster's down the local. But you get what you pay for, great drinks, great service and a great atmosphere. We haven't tried the food yet, but the menu is sandwiches, burgers and paninis. Would be nice to see some sort of local cheese and meat board on the menu in the future too. But that's just my opinion, because I'm slightly obsessed with sharing plates. 😁

The Invicta Bar decor is just lovely, all exposed ceiling beams, rustic wood tables and filament bulbs. I really want the copper anglepoise lamp in the window!

Found the phone number and Google and placed my order without no problems and all instructions were followed in preparation as asked e.g no condiments or salad on various items of food

Got welcomed to a nice drink k. The house while I wait for my order which is ready within fifteen minutes and I could honestly said they could have taking longer as the enjoyment in the establishment is outstanding

You must visit if you ever come to gravesend it is only situated two minutes from the train station

Will 100% be returning with good faith that I will enjoy more food and...
