Bambu - Authentic Canton cuisine — Restaurant in Great Britain

I am really angry about that restaurant ! First of all, the waitress is agressive. Let me explain: she don't want her customers to take what the actually really want but she is ordering FOR THEM. Moreover, she don't even give the time to look the menu, always behind her customers which is REALLY ANNOYING ! Then, the prices are REALLY expensive. If you want even a small bowl of rice, you'll have to pay £2,5 which is a lot for the quantity given by the restaurant. Furthermore, the food wasn't actually really good. I personally ordered some beef which didn't even looked as beef. Finally, when the time to pay the bill arrives, you can really feel the anger arriving. I must warn you that if you want to pay with a credit card, you'll have to pay an extra of 50p, justified by the waitress that she has to pay the taxes from the bank. They only want some cash to just be able to not declare it to the tax office and only making more and more money, how disappointing it is.

It was two months ago and it’s now I got a chance to review :)

On the New Year’s Eve (31st Dec 2024) I went here along with my family members to try a Chinese Restaurant in Bournemouth. Guess what, it was really good. We ordered Singapore rice, prawn bites and probably some two other meat dishes. The meal was spicy (which I like. I mean it just feels perfect) and really tasty :)

Prices are affordable and the couple who is doing the restaurant is so friendly and they are native Chinese so it feels so authentic once you go inside.

Specially, I liked the decorations on the walls. Obviously, the atmosphere is so charming :)

At the bottom line, I would like to say that it’s just near the Uni so everyone should come there and try this lovely...

Hello everyone, please read this first if you wanna go there. The woman at the counter is very rude (I think she is the owner). Awfully bad customer service. Instead of letting me order, she was kind of like robbing me. Like " Won't you order this, won't you order that? ". Some restaurants do that, right? But believe me, this one does it in a rude way. When I said I won't order rice, she said " You will eat it without rice? ". She said it in an insulting voice and tone. And the food is pricey, even though they are salty and bad. And it costs me more than what I order. I notice that only when I got home. I am writing this long because I don't want you to regret like me. Go there if you only want to...
