I stumbled into Big Mammas Sandwich Club the other day looking for a quick but fresh lunch time takeaway. I can’t say enough about how delightful this shop is. Big Mamma is run by Not-So-Big Mamma, who is like your Polish mamma or auntie who just wants to make you happy with her food. There are more sandwich fillings here than in any gelato shop. All kinds of options abound with an emphasis on chicken with flavors for every palate. But there are tuna and vegetarian options, too! You can also order these with loads of add-ons as sandwiches, wraps, paninis, or salad boxes with pasta or rice if you like. First time visiting Big Mamma’s after hearing nothing but good things and let me tell you that I was not disappointed in the least! I came to a clean and tidy looking shop before being greeted by the sweet and friendly Aga who made me feel more than welcome. Looking at the menu I felt a little uncertain of what to choose because everything looked so delicious, but luckily Aga was there to help with the options, and even allowed me to taste various things beforehand:) the sandwich itself was incredible! I went here for the first time today and I highly recommend!!!! The lady was very very lovely, there’s plenty of filler choices and salad toppings, and the Zapiekanka (looks like a cheese melt) looked delishhhh! Reasonably priced for the portion sizes too ☺️ I got the saag chicken salad bowl with some pasta, salad, herb sauce and crispy onions.
