West Pizza — Restaurant in Wales

Amazing place, can't remember the pizza I got last time but I can't have dairy so get vegan cheese. It was my fault when I asked for the pizza 'Cochyn' this time around, I assumed it was the vegan cheese margarita because it said 'NO CHEESE', which I thought was a funny way to say vegan cheese, like similar to the fake names like in the supermarkets, but I got home and it's only a pizza base and tomato sauce. New York style is my favourite style of pizza. I’d never even known a place existed in Cardiff until today.

My word, their New York style slices are exactly the same as you’d get walking the streets of Manhattan. I haven’t had pizza in New York in over 6 years and this gave me proper nostalgia.

Lovely thin crust, not too cheesy and tomato sauce perfect.

I tried the Meri Ann and the Ray and preferred the Ray as the pepperoni gave the slice a bit more yummy greasiness.

This place is fast becoming my favourite restaurant to meet friends after work and on weekends. It's affordable and has a casual vibe. The pizza is delicious and as far as I know the only place in Cardiff that does pizza by the slice. I'm always surprised that it doesn't cost more and that's rare around here. Some of the staff speak Welsh and it's always so nice to be able to order in my first language, the lights with the welsh alphabet for table 'numbers' are a nice touch. Long live West...
