This is the second time I've visited this cafe. The first time, I didn't manage to get past the front door as it was too busy! I visited about 11am on a Saturday morning and it was surprisingly quiet, however the tables soon filled up. We were shown to a table straight away where menus were ready on the table. We waited for a while, and when no one came to take our order, I finally asked and discovered that we needed to place orders at the counter. I wish we had been told this when we were seated. This is the only reason I've given the service 1 star less. We fancied a mixture of savoury and sweet, so ordered a full English breakfast and churros French toast, with a cappuccino and hot chocolate with the works! All the food came out piping hot within about 15 mins, followed by the drinks a couple mins later, something I prefer. Most places will bring hot drinks out first and bring the food once the drinks have gone cold. Pet peeve! As soon as we got the food, someone came to check we had everything and we were ok, which was lovely. The number of times I've been to a restaurant and they've forgotten the cutlery or a drink or something and you're left just waiting around trying to get someone's attention! All the food and drinks were presented beautifully and tasted delicious. I could not fault it. Atmosphere got 1 star less due to the music playing in the background which is something I personally avoid. Overall the whole experience was pleasant, and Bruberry is definitely somewhere I would go again and would recommend to...
Read moreI had high expectations of this place as its often mentioned friends circle so decided to bring my daughter as it was a special occasion. Firstly I would like to say that the prices on online need a serious update as almost all the menu was £2+ cheaper on line than in the cafe..
We ordred our food, service was pleasant. I ordered a jacket Potato and my daughter had pancakes.. the cafe wasn't too busy but we had to wait over 20mins for our food.. I asked for tap water with my original food order and had to ask another 2 times as a reminder before I was given it.. by this point had nearly eaten and ready to leave.. there was absolutely no apology or explanation for the delay which I thought was unacceptable. When my hot drink order came, it was incorrect, I asked for a flat white and instead received a cappuccino. By this point, couldn't be bothered to highlight this.
My daughter's food was nice but for the price we paid, I expected a bigger portion and definitely more fruit, like other places that we have visited in Leicester. Like Healthy Louisa and Kai.
My Potato was nicely cooked and the tuna filling was tasty but the salad was nothing more than a handful of salad leaves, no other salad or even a simple dressing, I thought dressing was standard everywhere..🤔
This place has some good points but I'm my opinion, could be hugely improved and tweaked.. if they are charging the prices that they are..the service and food need to...
Read moreHad a terrible experience here, the customer service is not great and I’d never go again! I ordered the savoury pancakes which had eggs and turkey rashers covering the eggs. On receiving my order I was satisfied, ate a pancake and an egg. As I got to the second egg I noticed most of the white was completely raw and not in a state to be consumed. I showed this to the manager who acknowledged the fault and said I should have come earlier not after I’ve half eaten my meal. I explained the rashers covering the egg and I didn’t feel the need to physically check my eggs before eating assuming food would be of a quality fit to consume. This was said rudely and I felt disrespected, I wasn’t being difficult whatsoever. I’ve attached the picture and as you can see most of the surface area of the egg is covered. When I went to pay the bill he offered no form of compensation or discount despite knowing the error. Very poor customer service; you don’t gain repeat customers with poor service. If the uncle had offered a resolution, even knocked 10% which would only be a £1 I would be writing something...
