Served by Alicia - order #43 approx 11pm 13/6/25. Friendly but felt ignored waiting to be served after someone who was behind me in the queue was acknowledged first - even to their surprise.
Contents of order; Wrap (Hot BBQ) meal £9.75 - signature fries + drink = 3/10 almost inedible when it came to both. The wrap was falling apart from being drowned in sauce, the salad and meat proportions felt stingy for the price paid, and the overall flavours were lacking in general due to the sauce overpowering everything else. The chicken was also rubbery for some reason.
Signature fries = 0/10 - Chucked away in the bin after 2-3 bites. The fries were pretty much also drowned in sauce making them a soggy mess, probably to mask the taste of the cheap quality ingredients used. They were inconsistently cooked, with some fries tasting raw. Vile.
Wings x5 (Lemon herb) £5 = 6/10 - Okay. Flavours were there but the skin was charred from being slightly overcooked giving a hint of burnt aftertaste so I had to pick it apart a bit.
Portion of hash browns (x2) £2 = 7/10 - Can't really go wrong. Would've been higher if it wasn't so oily.
Oreo dessert = 2/10 - A mess that seemed like it was put together by a child. Tiny portion as well for £3.50. Worst of all the thing tasted half defrosted throughout.
I spent a total of just over £20 at this place, and I won't be visiting again. The establishment is basically a premium priced Maryland, but somehow worse in a lot of aspects. I also woke up with an upset stomach first thing in the morning, and have had to use the toilet twice. I won't disclose the details. What a waste.

Read moreServing staff member was very impressive. Unfortunately, the standard they set was not maintained throughout the experience. Angus stack burger was reasonable, but not noticeably impressive. Fries were average, with an extra 50p charge for an uneven, patchy dusting of chilli powder. With that acknowledged, it seems fair to observe that the prices were actually quite low, overall. The wings tasted bitter and very oily. Checked with serving staff member, who consulted with kitchen staff, who in turn confirmed that the wings were cooked in vegetable oil. Recommended to the kitchen staff that the vegetable oil be replaced by sunflower/rapeseed oil. It appeared that the advice was taken graciously. Top service and politeness, plenty of room for improvement on the food but it was okay. Will return at some point to check for any improvements and maybe see if the serving staff member still smiles the same by...
Read moreBurger & Sauce is a charming little spot that perfectly suits its location, offering a cozy atmosphere ideal for enjoying a casual meal. Although the shop isn’t big, it has a welcoming vibe that makes it a great place to grab a bite.
I tried the fire hot chips, which were nice but didn’t quite deliver that "WOW" factor I was expecting. They were crispy and well-seasoned, but I’ve had spicier options elsewhere.
The real highlight for me was the wings with fiery hot sauce. While they were a bit too hot for my personal taste, they were absolutely amazing! The flavor was robust, and the heat added a thrilling kick that wing lovers would appreciate.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Burger & Sauce for a laid-back dining experience. It’s a great spot to satisfy your cravings, and I look forward to returning to explore more...
