Cue is nestled amongst the numerous shops on Allandale Road. The interior decor is very minimalistic and modern. I've seen a few reviews that stated there isn't much seating, but for a Café I'd say there is ample seating. I was pleasantly surprised that the food here was halal. I got the 'full brunch' it's basically a full English breakfast... Instead of hash browns you get lovely roasted potatoes. The chicken sausages were delicious, the eggs were cooked to perfection with lovely runny yolks. I really enjoyed the toast too as it was toasted beautifully! My only criticism would be that the portabello mushroom that is served is just a tiny piece, so don't expect a huge mushroom! That said overall the breakfast was really delicious, everything was seasoned really well. My better half got the buttermilk pancakes which were amazing. The other thing worth mentioning is that the coffee was brilliant. Ordered cappuccino and instead of chocolate powder they put shavings of dark chocolate which was fantastic. Customer service was brilliant, our server was very friendly and offered to warm our chocolate croissant (which was very tasty). I think I'll definitely be coming here again and try some other items next time around. I would definitely recommend this place. It's probably on the pricier side but the service and food is fantastic.

Cue is a popular cafe on Allandale Road that is part of the vibrant cafe culture in the area. The cafe has a variety of dishes on the menu, from croissants to a full English breakfast and other dishes such as Shakshuka. The cafe is clean and well maintained, and the food here is 10/10 - good flavours, well cooked to your taste as well as top ingredients. The only downside was that food took ages to come out when we came, despite the cafe not being busy, however this didn't stop us from enjoying. Additionally there are Palestine flags all over the shop, which was lovely to see. We will be back!

Best Halal breakfast in leicester!! very aesthetic and delicious!! Cafe is a bit small but we still got seating :D. Menu items were delicious and fresh. Tried coming back in september last yesr but they were shut due to a staff member having covid so I was extremely disappointed. Nevertheless I will 200% try to return again as the food was delicious and vibes were just so nice. Staff members were so nice ans lovely as well. Only problem is, is that its a tiny bit far from the city centre. But defo worth the trek as it really is the best in leicester for halal breakfast / brunch.

Down the drain !

We used to love going to Cue for breakfast, not anymore. Everything has gone down in quality - food, service, just everything.

We went to Cue for breakfast on Sunday 25th July 2021, got ourselves a table and placed the order. We ordered a full English breakfast and an avocado toast with poached eggs along with hot drinks. We were asked whether we wanted everything together and we said yes. Waited for 30 mins to see our English breakfast being served by the manager to a couple you had literally walked in and sat down after placing their order on the counter. Even that couple was amazed on how fast they got served. I said to the manager that we have been waiting for a long time and have not been served, maybe served the wrong table with that plate. He said they ordered before us, which was a plain white lie because they literally order 2 minutes before in front of us (we were sitting next to the counter). He then realised his mistake and went to the kitchen. Few minutes later he came with the Avocado toast with eggs which were in no way poached. He said the English breakfast would take only 2 minutes. A good 10 minutes later we noticed everyone who came after us had already been given their drinks and all we had was the avocado toast. I just could not take it anymore and asked the younger boy what was going on with the drinks, to which he replied we had asked for drinks later, which again was a lie. We just asked for a refund. The young boy who seemed more interested in wiping tables than serving food went to call the manager without an iota of apology. The manager literally rushed to the till and gave us a full refund. Their body language and the way they rushed to refund us only meant they wanted us out of the restaurant. The whole experience was just shocking.

The funny bit is that when a girl, who must personally know the younger boy (the one who loved wiping tables) approached him to place her order and asked "Do you like it here", he replied "NO". We had a good laugh.

Never going to Cue again.

P.S: the glasses in which they serve you water are dirty enough...

READ CAREFULLY: So an afternoon brunch with the family today turned into an absolute disaster. Having ordered and paid in advance, 20 minutes later (yes, 20) I was told there was no salmon which I had gone for especially. I was asked to replace it with turkey or beef (hello, I wanted salmon!) So I changed to full veg and ordered a club smoked chicken sandwich earlier as well.

I noted a table of 8 diners and a table of 2 before us. One member of the table of eight got up to ask how long it would be as it was already 40 minutes (this set alarm bells off for me)

Their food arrived 10 minutes later followed by the party of two around 30 minutes after when they complained. I complained that our wait was now 50 mins to be told ours was next and given a sincere apology by the girls serving.

However, I had asked for runny egg and malt brown bread when offered a choice at the start and received very dry white bread and dry overcooked hard eggs. This coupled with extremely crusty hash browns meant my meal was ruined.

The other meal had a chicken bone in. WE COULD HAVE CHOKED ON THIS. Luckily did not swallow this.

I was told on food arriving that they only had one chef today. Had I been informed of this, plus no salmon and a 50 minute wait, I would have reconsidered ordering. I am unlikely to visit this place again as there is no managerial control (no replies to any of the reviews by the way), the place is souless, the poor quality food takes an eternity to arrive (see all other reviews on Tripadvisor to back me on this) and there was a serious breach with the chicken bone which could have caused MAJOR COMPLICATIONS had we ate it whole. There are better options for halal brunches in Leicester. If I could give ZERO stars, I would....

To start with the good bits. A simple, cosy and welcoming feel with the decor and seating. My first two times we were served by a young girl who is very helpful and polite which seems from her own accord and personality which makes the service good. The 3rd time was a young lad who either was having a bad day or just lacks interpersonal skills, lack of product knowledge and a little abrupt hence i was not happy with the service. The pricing structure seems all over the place with certain items well overpriced for example a croissant is about the same price as a full breakfast. I went on boxing day with some guests as it was the only place open. Maybe the lad working was new but lacking any enthusiasm. We ordered a shakshuka which is an Arab origin dish but requested the vegan sausages be replaced with either toast or more eggs, but it so happens that this is the first shakshuka ever to not contain eggs. I showed the lad every image on Google has eggs with it and asked to speak to management as he said they know better since the owners are arabs, But on all occasions I have been there, the owners refuse to come to speak to customers and build rapport and for that I feel they fail in their customer service and offer a very cold experience being a small dine in. Eventually they accepted to put the egg in, when it came out it was not a shakshuka at all, it was a load of peppers with a fried egg thrown on top. I have noticed with every breakfast ordered all 3 times, no effort goes into making the food and it feels like ingredients cooked and thrown onto a plate. It can be a great place hoping they make a few changes but for now I cannot say I'd...
