Copa Diner and Bar — Restaurant in Great Britain

Totally unimpressive; Steak and Ale Pie and Chicken and Ham pie were indistinguishable from the small single portion pies you might get out of a supermarket freezer at 99p. The pie contents were just a grade up from soup or lumpy gravy with tiny pieces of meat. The Chef's special curry of the day was suspiciously like a tin of chicken curry with a packet nan. The chips that were specified accompanying the pie dishes were inexplicably substituted for an unappetising swodge of grey mash and I had to reiterate the menu stated 'with chips'! The garlic pizzabread was also indistinguishable from a cheap supermarket one. Fortunately I didnt have to pay the £46 for these three meals (along with one drink each) that were not even worthy of a school dinner because the government was footing about £18 of it under 'Eat out to Help Out', but what a wasted opportunity that was and I and my family was still left feeling gutted! The excuse made was that the chefs - Chefs???! - were not up to speed having just re-opened froom the Covid shut down. Well there was an extremely limited menu choice in the first place so by no means demanding on the chefs to be able to turn out half decent versions rather than screw...

Didn't even bother to eat due to the awful customer service. Entered the premises and waited by the "wait here to be seated sign" and got totally ignored by the staff. We were in eye contact with all of the staff and nobody bothered to approach us or even acknowledge our requirements for a table. After a few minutes we decided to leave and go elsewhere, only to find perfect customer service and great food. For a company who have signs outside stating they'd missed their customers and glad they were back open, their customer service certainly doesn't promote...

Shame because I wanted to support a local business. They are obviously struggling with the new way they are having to work and so was willing to be patient but unfortunately everything was bad. We sat for ages without being offered a menu before finding one ourselves, didn’t get a our order taken instead had to find someone at the bar, when the food came it was inedible especially the pizza which burnt in parts and some how raw in others.
